Help spot a vandal! I know there’s some X fatigue regarding the hundreds of incidents of Tesla vandalism this year. Police are overwhelmed in many jurisdictions, so many vandalism cases fall to the bottom. But these owners are still affected. That’s where we come in. This case remains unsolved.
On February 17th 2025 at 11:34 am, this woman was at the Festival Center- Near TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby - in Anaheim Hills CA. She went out of her way to damage this Cybertruck. The owner has worked with police but they have not made progress.

HELP PLEASE: The latest thug for your perusal! This case is so fresh and still smells like free breadsticks. You haven’t seen this incident before on X and I’m working with the owner to find the idiot.
On March 20th, 2025 between 6:30-7pm, this pajama-wearing gangster who obviously prioritizes comfort over fashion decided he didn’t like a Tesla he saw in the Olive Garden parking lot, causing thousands in damage. This fine eating establishment is located at 2641 N Maize Road in Wichita, KS.
With your help, we can solve this one. It’s very clear video and the guy has distinctive taste. Wichita is a small town where pretty much everybody knows everybody (the Next Door threads are fire). It’s also home to some cool car YouTubers you likely know.
Please look closely, share with your friends on and off X and help us find this guy. Let’s not keep him on the bingo card too long 😎🙌

Drove the YP an hour to the airport Tuesday morning early in snow and -18° weather. Of course warmed the car up in the garage for 5 minutes before I left. Comfy trip. Got to the airport at 54%. Neighbor texted me as I was in the air coming home last night after hearing all the Chicago horror stories asking if I need a ride home. Told him I would be fine. Got to the car after it had been cold soaked for 36 hours. Battery was down to 50%. Preheated as I walked through the airport. Got home an hour and 15 later at 19% and plugged in for today. Pretty boring story I know.

I’m a huge Tesla supporter obviously. But this hits hard. I have 2 neighbors who were both interested in Teslas who have backed away this year. Both said they can’t stomach Elon’s politics. And I was working with my boss and his wife on their first Model Y. Boss just told me his wife can’t do it bc of Elon. They ordered a Range Rover. This is my real-world experience and makes me sad.
Tesla’s brand loyalty probably has peaked. Elon brought politics into the buying equation for many consumers.
Previously, liberals were the target market for an EV and conservatives were the target market for ICE vehicles. Politics have deteriorated Tesla’s target market. Price cuts, incentive deals, rate promotions, and more are probably the new normal to keep people interested/buying.
I’m not a Tesla hater (own my 3rd vehicle) or offended by the politics. It’s just surprising to hear people in the real world - not behind a keyboard - say they are no longer interested in a Tesla product because of Elon. They often will even buy inferior products out of spite saying “I’ll never buy a product from that man”. I’m not sure we can put that genie back in the bottle.

I get how the algorithm works, so nobody is going to see this post because it’s not negative or salacious. But the boring fact is we have owned 8 EVs over the past 6 Colorado winters. We have never been in an accident in the snow, never ran out of battery, never gotten stuck, and have never been stranded. Our experience says our Teslas are much safer than the numerous Explorers and Lincoln SUVs we had in the past. Our lives in the winter with these things has been nothing but awesome. I would send my 16-year-old or my 21-year-old out in the snow any day in a Tesla without worry. So to the hundred or so people who see this, now you know. That’s it. That’s the post.

Just took a former boss and friend for his first Tesla ride. He’s in his mid 70s. He watches a lot of TV and heard a lot of negative mainstream news. The car (FSD 12.3.4) drove to a location about 4 miles away, and then I put in our home address. It did a U-turn and drove all the way home with zero interventions both ways. To say he was blown away is an understatement. He’s dealing with a pretty bad form of cancer and was so excited for what this will do for mobility and safety. As I dropped him off, he asked what the stock price was. I told him and he said he will put in an order for some tomorrow. A mind-changing experience for one more person.

The 5-year-old asked if this is the car mom was talking about. Mom smiled and answered, “Yes baby, this is the Cybertruck that mom is going to pick you up from school in.”

Drove my wife to Tesla Littleton today and 2 things happened. First, she loved it so it's good we configured and placed the order for the DM yesterday. Second, A guy was there with his son. I was able to answer a ton of questions he had (he has no "Tesla" friends"). Turns out he drove several hours (lives in Kansas) to see Cybertruck. Big guy who hunts and fishes and wants to use it for that. He's never owned a Tesla and said his friends think he's crazy for considering it. But he ended up reserving one while there at the store. I also showed him @UnpluggedTesla's website with CT accessories. He was stoked. Cool thing is without Cybertruck, he would NEVER have walked into a Tesla store in his life. CT will change the demographic in a great way for the brand. So excited for this product.

Good morning vandal spotters! Today’s case has not been shared before on any media platform. This one is not about the perp paying for damages. It’s another instance of a permanent marker being used on a Cybertruck to draw hateful symbols. But this person needs to know defacing others’ property is against the law, and a conversation with local authorities would do just that.
Boise, Idaho is a relatively small town. Most people know someone who knows someone.
Below is exactly where the crime occurred and a fairly clear still shot and vid. It took place 7 February at 9:20pm at the ParkBOI parking garage. Were you there?

For those saying they don’t want an EV because it only takes them 5 minutes to stop at a gas station to fill their ICE car (for $50), we got home last night at 8 and plugged the car in. Took about 15 seconds. At 9 PM, the wall charger knew that electric rates drop to 1/3 the cost and began charging. This morning it took 15 seconds to unplug and drive away with a full tank. Time: 30 seconds. Cost: $4.80. Yes I know not everyone has this use case. But many people can if they want to.

Picked up another used Tesla today as you know we’re always playing merry-go-round. The dealer wasn’t familiar with them. When we left, I realized the old owner’s info was all in there. Actually realized this after I stopped on the way home to supercharge. Called the dealership and told the boss about the security issues. I said I could see all of his information, where he lives, where he works, and can use his credit card for any in app purchase. Also he can see where my car is and turn the cameras on in my garage if he wants to. Messaged Tesla about this urgent situation and literally 10 minutes later the car was reset and it was in my app. Pretty crazy response from somebody! 😎

Update on the drama I had earlier this week with Safelite. For those who didn’t see it, Safelite quoted me basically $600 to replace my windshield on my model 3 and then a mandatory $750 fee to calibrate the camera. I’m no sucker, unlike apparently a lot of of their customers and said take that charge off which they refused.
So I called a local glass shop and they said yeah we replace glass on Teslas all the time no problem. The camera just calibrates itself while you’re driving. Of course I knew this.
Got the service today. $734 all in and there was no calibration charge. In fact when I got in and drove away, the camera didn’t even need it. FSD works fine.
Again stay away from Safelite.

OK, my social media experiment is finished. Some of you may know that I made 2 posts within a few minutes yesterday regarding my 5 y/o Model 3. One was the truth, saying it has had no issues and it’s been a pleasure to own. The second painted the picture of a terrible car that was constantly broken and had to have the big battery replaced for $25k. My point was to see which post traveled further – the positive one or the negative one. You can probably figure out the answer - the positive post got about 7500 impressions in 24 hours. The negative post got about 25,000 (3X more) impressions in the same timeframe. Beyond the basics like humans love to complain and see failure, why do you think the reach was so much different? And which one did you see first if any? Thanks for playing and sorry if anyone was misled. Again, the car had its 5th birthday today and has been basically flawless.

#Cybertruck Reservation News: Talked to a sales associate yesterday trying to get a feel for where in line my reservation number was. His answer makes sense. Like Model 3, Tesla will NOT go solely by number. When a store gets one or a few in, they’ll go down their local list from those who placed an actual order and text/call asking if they want it or not. If not, cool. They go to the next person and first person stays on the list. This is exactly how it was with my early reservation Model 3. Thoughts?
