Loaf, a founder of onchain gaming infra provider Cartridge and the new onchain MMO @RealmsEternum, has been a leading contributor to @ai16zdao's Eliza codebase, which is one of the most popular platforms for launching AI agents today. In a recent X thread, Loaf highlighted how Daydreams will work in the context of the Eliza framework. Without Daydreams: In the Eliza v1 system, agents have personalities set by a configuration file, rely on a database for memory, use a runtime for coordination, and have specific plugins for capabilities like tweeting or onchain actions. Each client, such as X or Discord, just hosts these interactions. With Daydreams: as a new generative agent library for Eliza v2, Daydreams will let agents think independently beyond hard-coded, predefined actions. It's part of the Dojo onchain gaming engine and will be chain-agnostic, interacting with games on any network. Daydreams uses a "hierarchical task network" to constantly update as agents pursue goals like conquering Eternum or optimizing DeFi strategies. Agents store their thought processes using vector embeddings, sharing them with others through a swarm mechanism for collective learning, enabling long-term missions and shared success strategies. Why Daydreams matters Daydreams-enabled Eliza v2 agents will be dynamic problem-solvers that can adapt, evolve, and even create specialized code on the go for new scenarios. In May 2024, the @StarknetFndn launched the Propulsion Program with a clear mission: to empower builders like you and help gaming studios flourish on #Starknet. By offering targeted gas rebates, the program enables teams to focus on innovation and user acquisition instead of worrying about network fees. Over the past six months, the program’s focus on gaming has yielded remarkable results. Several games have successfully launched on mainnet, including @zKube_game, @Blobarena, @TheDopeWars, @influenceth, and the highly anticipated return of @LootSurvivor. Through observing how teams utilised Propulsion, we learned something significant: most projects used gas rebates to sponsor user transactions—an approach that perfectly aligns with our vision for the ecosystem. Inspired by this, we’ve refined the program to better support these efforts. We now cover 100% of gas fees in our initial tier, with increased coverage across all tiers. This applies to every in-game transaction users make. Additionally, to support teams that took the early initiative to launch on mainnet, we’ll retroactively apply these benefits to all participating projects since the program’s inception. As the ecosystem evolves, so will our support. We remain committed to adapting our initiatives based on real-world feedback and continuously optimising for ecosystem growth.

ZK is advancing at such a fast pace. Gotta love it. In addition to the S-two work from Starkware team, they have placed more emphasis on token performance (which is needed by all L2 teams trying to reignite enthusiasm for their token) Right now, there are currently two delegation programs by StarkWare and by Starknet FND. Total STRK staked is now 420m+ which is ~12% of supply, its easier than ever to become a profitable validators on Starknet. The main point here is to push towards a progressively decentralized future for the chain. Hearing that the team will introduce multiple sequencers for the first time as well. With L2beat becoming more strict on their ranking systems (and the FUD from alt-L1s), I imagine more rollup teams will prioritize their decentralized roadmap.

Why do we keep focusing on fees even though they are already very low on Starknet? Because: 1⃣ If/when blob prices go bananas, the 50%+ improvements we continuously bring will make a huge difference for users. 2⃣ The lower the gas fees, the more viable some complex and unique use cases become, such as: AI agents, high-frequency trading, fully onchain gaming, continuous payments, DEPIN, etc. 3⃣ It makes onboarding institutions and large enterprises easier, as they often require ultra-predictable and low transaction costs. 4⃣ The endgame is to make fees so low that Starknet projects can easily subsidize gas fees for users; so users no longer have to worry about gas fees payments when interacting with some projects, such as gaming projects. This is already happening with some @ohayo_dojo/@cartridge_gg-powered games, but we want more, much more. And the lower the gas fees, the more we can scale this model. A lot of optimizations will continue to lower gas fees for users in the long run, including: > Stateful compression (Q1 2025) > Cairo-Native (Q1 2025) > L3s on top of Starknet (Q1 2025) > Stwo (Q2 2025) > Volition (timeline TBD) But keep in mind; gas fee reduction is just one of many things we're working on to make the Starknet ecosystem more attractive for everyone. The ecosystem is also focused on increasing our TPS capacity, improving user accessibility (bridges, wallets, CEX integrations, etc.), improving DevX, onboarding more teams and projects. All of that for the Ethereum and the Bitcoin communities 🫴
