Not enough people really understand this. Of all the major sports football is the most popular and players get SIGNIFICANTLY less than the other sports. Also why those teams are valued much higher. Owners/teams make more money when you don’t have to pay the labor as much.
NBA Salary Cap this year is $123.6 million.
NFL Salary Cap this year is $208.2 million.
NBA Cap is 60% of NFL Cap, with 25% the number of players.

My 2 cents on Astros situation. Cheating with steroids gets you 80 games. IMO knowing what pitch is coming gives players a MUCH greater advantage than steroids therefore punishment should be much worse. I would go with 2 years for all players that used technology to cheat.

I got COVID tested at noon on July 6th at @cvspharmacy. Still have not received results. When I called to schedule appointment on July 1st they said 2-4 days. When I took the test they said 5-7 days. It’s been over 10 days and nothing. The system isn’t working. It’s embarrassing.

To drastically over simplify. MLB Owners are faced w the decision. Do I make $200M in profit and have x% chance to win WS, or do I make a $150M profit and have 2x% chance to win the WS. Recently most owners have been choosing option 1. Fans should hold owners accountable.

If MLB bans the shift it will be a terrible decision IMO. I do agree that the game has problems that need to be fixed. Need more balls in play and shorter games. Lots of creative solutions available. Banning shifts would be like putting a bandaid on that only sticks for 2 minutes
