Yesterday all 5 of us were asked to leave @HawksmoorTweets restaurant in London (our once great capital) - The reason given was that our presence was making their staff feel uneasy. We had 2 waiters serving us for an hour, who from what I could tell enjoyed our company, they stood around chatting, laughing, taking pictures & were both extremely nice, so the reason the manager gave for asking us to leave after we’d finished our starters I don’t believe. We were all mild mannered, friendly & sat away from anyone else, as we were one of the first guests in there. To add, we’re all hard working & successful in our own right & it’s not as if we were dressed in string vests chanting football songs! - It’s disgraceful what they done & in my opinion unforgivable as well as hugely disappointing. It reminded me of when Richard Tice referred to working class Brits as ‘that lot’, his prerogative, but a total misreading of the room. As we left the restaurant, there were people nodding, giving us a wink & a thumbs up, so it certainly wasn’t the clientele that felt uneasy & a waitress asked if we’d like a drink as we were stood waiting to speak to the manager & she was oblivious to what was happening, another very friendly member of staff. So it appears it was a decision made from higher up the ranks enforcing its woke political views on its customers, which is not anything new anymore & a very sad sign of the times. As much as I strongly disagree with their poor attitude, I fully support their decision, as it’s their house & therefore their rules. I’ll take this matter up with the CEO in due course & hold no grudges at all… I look forward to returning with my wife. It’ll be interesting to see if the same approach is taken then….
