I’m confused…a city in Texas with 67k people doesn’t want to send $4.4 million of their taxes to Israel and the governor is saying it’s antisemitism… Am I missing something here?
Anti-Israel policies are anti-Texas policies. Sent a letter to the City of San Marcos today condemning its proposed antisemitic resolution openly flouting Texas state law. Texas will NOT tolerate antisemitism.

Over a day after a 28 year old associate at Jefferies died, their CEO who bought a $65 million yacht recently) Rich Handler has still not made a statement - this is very telling to me about what’s going on… He did have enough time to get drunk in Miami last night…someone so foolishly had an IG story with him in it…it’s now deleted, but thankfully many people screen recorded it and sent it..to be clear, it’s not just me, @HighyieldHarry and @down_to_finance who view you as evil, it’s all the junior bankers and anyone with a heart The reporters I know are very cautious on articles because they know Jefferies is on full damage control…”Rich Handler is buddy buddy with you as long as you follow his narrative, but once you don’t, he comes after you” is what one reporter said to me. Since I know you’ll be reading this (even tho you blocked me 🤭) there’s nothing you can do from stopping people having outrage at a preventable injustice. I hope you take time to evaluate yourself as a man and realize that your narrative (“be a good person” in your bio) is gone and the only way you can save yourself is by understanding your ego, apologizing, and being a leader to actually implement meaningful change so this doesn’t happen again anywhere on Wall Street. You can keep fighting a battle that you will inevitably lose (this is because the truth cannot be defeated) or you can…”be a good person”

3 junior investment bankers have died in the last 12 months from overwork. This is preventable. The only way to change this is through grassroots pressure on social media to rise up to mainstream media outlets and to be so unrelenting that CEOs like Handler have to change their culture and value their junior bankers as human beings, not replaceable cogs in a wheel. I haven’t worked in banking in a few years, but happy to work with @HighyieldHarry, @down_to_finance and others to protect anyone’s identity and help them get their stories to the NY Post and WSJ to keep the pressure going. If you want change, work with us to change it - these people don’t have as much control as you think. One crack breaks the dam.

Disagree with this: “A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers.” The ethos of America is creating the jock that was also the valedictorian and the prom queen who volunteers with charities…
The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over “native” Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture. Tough questions demand tough answers & if we’re really serious about fixing the problem, we have to confront the TRUTH: Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG. A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math olympiad champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers. A culture that venerates Cory from “Boy Meets World,” or Zach & Slater over Screech in “Saved by the Bell,” or ‘Stefan’ over Steve Urkel in “Family Matters,” will not produce the best engineers. (Fact: I know *multiple* sets of immigrant parents in the 90s who actively limited how much their kids could watch those TV shows precisely because they promoted mediocrity…and their kids went on to become wildly successful STEM graduates). More movies like Whiplash, fewer reruns of “Friends.” More math tutoring, fewer sleepovers. More weekend science competitions, fewer Saturday morning cartoons. More books, less TV. More creating, less “chillin.” More extracurriculars, less “hanging out at the mall.” Most normal American parents look skeptically at “those kinds of parents.” More normal American kids view such “those kinds of kids” with scorn. If you grow up aspiring to normalcy, normalcy is what you will achieve. Now close your eyes & visualize which families you knew in the 90s (or even now) who raise their kids according to one model versus the other. Be brutally honest. “Normalcy” doesn’t cut it in a hyper-competitive global market for technical talent. And if we pretend like it does, we’ll have our asses handed to us by China. This can be our Sputnik moment. We’ve awaken from slumber before & we can do it again. Trump’s election hopefully marks the beginning of a new golden era in America, but only if our culture fully wakes up. A culture that once again prioritizes achievement over normalcy; excellence over mediocrity; nerdiness over conformity; hard work over laziness. That’s the work we have cut out for us, rather than wallowing in victimhood & just wishing (or legislating) alternative hiring practices into existence. I’m confident we can do it. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Story time: I booked two nights at the @RitzCarlton in DC for my gf’s birthday… At about 2am, we hear a domestic situation in the room next door - fortunately for the woman next door, the walls are paper thin… I open our door and I see the male, who we had heard literally beating the shit out of the woman next door. He starts advancing towards me - luckily, we had ordered room service and I was able to grab a knife quickly… As the individuals, who was ~25-30 years old, advances towards me, he calls me multiple racial slurs. Once he sees I have a knife in my hands he runs down the hallway. Luckily, Jasmine had already started to call 911 at this point - the craziest thing? Of the two phones in the room, neither of them worked unless they could be used on speaker…so she had to use her cell phone…thought this was the @RitzCarlton right? Best part is I’m in a bathrobe that keeps coming undone all during this ordeal… I close the door and then the “security” comes up and I explain the situation about 5 minutes later…as I am explaining the situation, the guy comes back. I had put the knife down, and at this point the closest utensil I could find was a fork, so I grab the fork and have to walk back out into the hallway because it was clear that the “security” wasn’t going to be able to ameliorate the situation… The individual advances towards us again, I have to make it known that this isn’t exactly a situation to fuck around in with me holding a fork and he then runs down the 8th floor hallway again to a stairwell. I ask the “security” if they want me to go get him, because the MPD is coming at this point… As a former D1 sprinter, I’m relatively quick, and I sprint down the hallway in a bathrobe with my dick and balls flying around out in the open and round the corner, re-tie the bathrobe and enter the stairwell… One security guard is talking with the individual. He calls me a few more racial slurs, rather creative ones too, and he starts to advance at us again. Being in a small, confined area and knowing that back in the hallway it’s three women - the victim, my gf, and an employee with a walkie talkie…I’m not gonna allow him to go back in the hallway, so as he advances back up the stairs towards me and I go down and have to take my right shoulder and body check him into the stairwell wall… He hits the wall and rail, stumbles and falls, calls me more racial slurs and runs down the stairs like the coward he is. I go back to my room and call it for the night. The manager has been made aware and I’m very much looking forward to calling up someone very high up at the @RitzCarlton today and letting them know about this situation. Wild ride, but thank god for room service.

Please read: to those of you following developments of the tragic and preventable death of 28 year old Jefferies associate, Carter. It is clear based off what has been shared with me by people within the Jefferies tech team in Dallas and friends that Carter was victim of a toxic and abusive workplace culture. Many sources have confirmed that C-level management spoke with Carter about the abuse in his group and were aware of the actions of two MDs…this conversation of COO and Carter occurred the week prior to his preventable death. There is even more to this story once the screenshots of what Carter said to others about the culture, behavior, and actions of two MDs come out. In addition to the comments from reports given to me, it’s rather suspect that Wall Street Oasis removed posts with over 150 replies on Carter’s death and Jefferies’ toxic work culture, it makes one wonder whether there is a coordinate plan by those who have the means to intimidate media and think they are above free speech. NOW, I have heard from credible sources that Rich Handler has conflicted out at least 3 of the top attorneys in Texas who would take this case. Given the timing of it all, did he do this within a matter of days after the death? Was this all orchestrated before an official statement was made? Before Carter’s family had the opportunity to seek answers? Before some sort of justice could be served, or even sought? So how does one do this? According to sources, people in theses positions with these means are able to call up “friends” and retain “top” lawyers (practicing and retired) with a handsome half a mil retainer fee. Why would one do that you ask? Well, because it creates a conflict of interest and their hands are tied if and when the family sought their legal representation. So who are these “top” lawyers? Well, one certainly made himself known when he gave a whooping to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (@TXAG) last year. One has to then wonder the influence this has on the State. AG Paxton, are your hands tied now? The people want to know. It is truly unimaginable and rather surreal to think something like this could have been orchestrated. Something so truly anti-American, attempting to remove due process by manipulating the power system and exerting strength because of how much money one has. This is directly contrary to Thomas Jefferson’s intent when he wrote the 14th amendment…that no state can deprive a person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. And, wouldn’t this slant the court of law? What about the scales of justice? Do they now tip in favor of the dollar? Are we left to seek justice by a trial by media? If @elonmusk is right, and we are the media now, I ask that all those who feel strongly about this and want the truth, for people to be held accountable, and for the consequences of actions to be received so change will be created that a preventable death will never occur again…I ask you to use your own voice and connections to call on the Texas Attorney General to look into this and if needed, the @TheJusticeDept, to look into corporate manslaughter charges against Jefferies and whatever other charges are deemed appropriate. Public sentiment is growing, so keep fighting. As Thomas Jefferson said “I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution.” Thank you to my lawtina gf who edited this and thank you for your attention.

If subsidizing early retirees while you can’t afford a house, have student loans, medical debt, etc., angers you, then the solution is to vote The median age in this country is 39, but the median voter age is early 50s… Most congressional races are determined by their primaries so in reality 5-10% of the eligible electorate is determining the election… For example VA-08 is a D+26 district - so fully determined by the primary. The incumbent has run unopposed 3/4 elections, and the last time there was a primary was 2022 So in 2022, ~39k dem primary voters determined Beyers victory in a district that had ~490k registered voters…open primary state too… So ~8% of registered voters determined that a 70+ year old would represent an area of 776k people with a median age of 37… Democracy is only for those who participate 🗳️
Early retirees like Bill & Shelly will see their health insurance premiums increase nearly 300%—from $442 to $1,700 per month if Congressional Republicans refuse to extend the enhanced tax credits. That's an extra $15K a year families can't afford. cnbc.com/2025/10/17/aca-enha…

Still no statement from Rich Handler. This was preventable. Jefferies knew. There are 4 people responsible. I have received screenshots of texts from Carter to his friends that prove it. His friends and coworkers have shown evidence that proves that this was preventable and driven by the culture of Jefferies and specifically by 4 people. These four people know who they are and each individual needs to make a public apology for their actions. The three of you and Rich, do as he says and “be a good person” and apologize before it gets worse. Blood on your hands.

I see no reason why, at a federal level, Election Day is not a National holiday and a ID/passport shouldn’t be required Poll taxes and literacy tests were absolutely discriminatory and were implemented to prevent certain groups from voting However, I have yet to see any coherent justification (aside from just saying “that’s racist!!!”) as to why a ID/passport isn’t mandatory…

Here is an incredible proposal by @SenMikeLee. This would direct the US Government to sell land for the explicit purpose of increasing our housing supply. It includes the appropriate protections for National parks and the like. This is a no brainer win-win. US Government collects revenues they can direct to paying down our debt while increasing the supply of land that can help decrease housing prices and increase the number of homeowners. Pass this now!!

Turning 33 this week and wanted to quickly write down a few thoughts to younger versions of myself: The things that I wanted the most when I was in my mid-20s like: - a law degree from UVA - to work at the top bank on Wall Street - a two tone Rolex - a blonde gf with big fake tits Ended up being the least important (and funniest bits) to me. Things that actually were the most important were: - using that law degree only one time to help a friend - leaving Wall Street to go on reality tv - not needing to look at what time it is - being able to love with all my heart It ended up being the things that scared me the most that showed me who I am and it was exactly those things that built me - not what I had planned my life around or thought would be the measures of my success. 33 is going to be a big year and it’s everything that I’ve failed at and that has scared me that gives me the confidence to say that I’m only going to continue to use my voice to say my opinions and stand up for what I believe is right

Retarded take. “$2B in M&A closed” - bro that’s one deal in the big leagues, this isn’t about you.
If you don’t want to work a lot, don’t be an investment banker. Banking will always have 100+ hour weeks given the amount of money clients are paying and the inherent rapid timelines of deals. I also think junior bankers need to learn to set boundaries when work is starting to affect your health. I also think drugs exacerbate the problem. The only drug I’ve ever taken to work 100+ hour weeks is caffeine and nicotine. I think with drugs like adderall and other illicit substances you can push your body too far when you otherwise would crash and give up / go to bed.

Horrible take: “Employers love hiring athletes, but is it worth a 170-point SAT trade-off? That’s roughly equivalent to a 12-point difference in IQ—a meaningful gap.” The “IQ gap” is made up by EQ and competitive ability - why student-athletes and veterans are better performers in the workplace than nerds
Recruited athletes at Harvard for the class of 2027 had an average SAT score of 1368, compared to over 1540 for non-athletes—a staggering 170-point difference. Yet, most Division I athletes proudly list their sport on their résumé, effectively signaling, "I likely have a lower IQ than my classmates, with whom I’m competing for this job." And let’s not forget, many of these athletes come from affluent families who could easily afford top-tier test prep. To put it in perspective, a 1368 SAT score is below the median at every top-25 college. At schools like Rice, Emory, Notre Dame, Michigan, UCLA, and WashU, it would land in the bottom quarter. A solid score? Sure. But at the elite level, it’s not particularly impressive. Employers love hiring athletes, but is it worth a 170-point SAT trade-off? That’s roughly equivalent to a 12-point difference in IQ—a meaningful gap. So why do employers make the trade? Presumably, they believe athletes bring hard-to-quantify qualities like grit, teamwork, and an unstoppable drive to win. What’s your take? Is the trade-off justified, or are we overvaluing athletic prowess in the professional world?

Ok - gambling, porn and weed are leading to the decline of our society Whenever someone tells you how to vote, always question what their motives and financial interests are
It's not right that now that I'm back in Florida I can't legally eat pizza, smoke weed and watch football in the privacy of my own home.  Vote #YesOn3 on Nov 5th to make weed legal in Florida

Have been tweeting about how prediction markets lead the polls for 18+ months now, so I like to follow Kalshi and Polymarket markets on active races... On Polymarket, I've gotten VERY curious about this account "dubdubdub2" - the largest holder of YES for Zohran, so I broke it out trade by trade Account was created 1 month ago and has deployed ~$1.2 million in only two markets... On the YES for Zohran, the account has put in $411k alone in the past 2 days...and the buys seem fully sequenced right when he starts dropping below 93 cents... All the buys are exactly correlated when price starts to drop as if on 10/5, 10/7, 10/16 and the past two days an algo is being used to artificially push market back up over desired thresholds... Kalshi has YES for Zohran at ~90 cents, so I'm wondering if polymarket is artificially inflated in this market by this account? Other concerning thing is that the funding wallet for dubdubdub2, when you trace through the intermediary wallet has ~$15.6 million in it

Good morning to my new follower, @joeziemer - Head of Communications for Jefferies! What if the below is a screen shot from your TMT team’s deck that a client sent me bragging about “24/7 Execution Support” by Jefferies junior team? What if there are texts from Carter to his friends (immediately prior to his death) stating that Jefferies worked him 11 nights in a row until 5am on a deal? There is much more to come. Even your clients don’t support your actions.

When I’m in America…I only want to see the American flag 🇺🇸 I do not want to see a Palestinian flag 🇵🇸 I do not want to see an Israeli flag 🇮🇱 I do not want to see a pride flag 🏳️‍🌈 I only want to to hear people who support all the other flags discussing how we can be better and accept each other here, at home, first This shouldn’t feel controversial, but I’m fascinated at the reception this will get

A while ago it came out that Harry Sisson is a paid influencer by the left (ok, fine, I’m not here to debate that)…he was born in Singapore and is an Irish citizen…an article published yesterday said that he wan’t an American citizen and thus can’t vote… Now it comes out that Ian Miles Chong, who lives in Malaysia and also can’t vote in the US, is paid for by the right and is now advocating for big soda and for SNAP benefits to continue to be used for them…further creating race and socioeconomic disparities… When I get elected to office, I am going to draft and introduce the most punitive bill to punish foreign citizens acting as influencers in our elections so that if they ever dare to step foot here, they are arrested at the airport and after given due process, face years and years of lock up, so that it prevents all these fucking grifters from daring to do this in the future I am unapologetically for protecting our democratic republic and I hope to punish all foreign actors who try to influence our people

Plz make it stop I can’t take these posts anymore
My brother brought his new, smoking hot, gf to pre-Thanksgiving tonight. My pain is constant and sharp, and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape.

Gonna pop off for a sec and not everyone will agree, but as a millennial with a 92.5% male following, let's ride: Young men ARE falling further behind... This is a product of many factors...the biggest being the educational system forcing, from a very early age, boys and girls to be held to the same standards...we're not the same and (especially at earlier ages) don't learn the same To focus my narrative, I'll only talk about myself, but I believe it's representative...I went to public school until 3rd grade when my behavior problems got too out of hand and had to go to Catholic school...I find it interesting that my behavior problems increased each year as the daily time for recess went down...started at 60 minutes/day and it was down to 15 minutes by 3rd grade (representative of a national trend)... Next, in a classroom with boys and girls, being a young immature boy gets you PUNISHED very quickly...so naturally I started accumulating more and more demerits and the angrier I got at the teachers...I didn't want to sit still in a seat...that then leads to most kids getting put on ADHD meds (which we have very little long term data on and having done them as an adult, I can say this is not gonna turn out well for kids long term when 15% of them are on this and most likely misdiagnosed) thankfully my parents didn't put me on them... So I'm having behavior problems, I had a speech impediment (which led to bullying), and was generally angry at my teachers for further punishing me...it wasn't working I never got above a B until high school (I even failed music class in 3rd grade for behavior problems)... Not until I was in high school and working out two times a day was I able to concentrate/just be more mature. I had a phenomenal history teacher who was a hard ass and would kick me out of class sometimes, but it was the first time I was challenged in school and felt that there was a direct correlation between the teachers behavior to me and my own behavior - it inspired me to be better (as well as a passion for history)... Things didn't click for me until I was challenged - this is the case for many boys...again boys learn differently (and in most cases later) than girls do I ended up being able to work through a speech impediment, get straight A's, go to law school, blah blah blah but that wouldn't have been possible without having great parents, which many aren't as fortunate for, and thus school becomes even more of a formative factor that can lead to a young man giving up on himself because he's in the wrong educational environment The more we try to punish boys for having too much energy or having some fun and demonize natural behavior and the more we medicate our youth, the more lost young men we'll have... I could go on and on about this but the more broader society, from an early age, penalizes boys, the more lost young men we will have and the more society will decay Feel free to argue in the comments wsj.com/lifestyle/careers/yo…
