The last administration provided the weapons to kill tens of thousands of Palestinians, flatten Gaza, and displace nearly the entire population.
Now Trump is making his clearest calls yet for Palestinians to be permanently and involuntarily expelled, an out-and-out war crime.
President Donald Trump, seated next to international fugitive indicted for war crimes Israeli PM Netanyahu, asserted that there is âno alternativeâ but to resettle âallâ Palestinians out of Gazaâa move that amounts to a planned ethnic cleansing.
⤠When asked how many Palestinians he believed would need to leave, he replied:
âââAll of them. Probably a million seven, a million eight ⌠all of them.â
⤠He also dismissed the idea that the Saudis were demanding a Palestinian state in exchange for normalization.
⤠Trump would not answer whether Palestinians would have the right to return to Gaza after the territory he described as a âdemolition siteâ was cleaned up,
⤠When asked if he would like to see Israelis resettle Gaza after removing Palestinian families from their homes, he responded:
âThey are not going to want to go back to Gaza.â
Under the current ceasefire deal, later phases call for a reconstruction plan for Gaza. Yet today, Trump suggested thereâs no alternative but for Palestinians to leave permanently, proposing the creation of âfive or sixâ separate locations for their relocation. âIt would be my hope that we could do something really nice where they would not want to return,â he added.
