Here’s a general summary of the first
@megaeth's Open space that took place recently. There may be some details missing, so I recommend listening to the space recording for a more complete understanding.
Pre-questions and Answers
1. MegaETH uses a single active sequencer model. If the single sequencer experiences failure, how does the network remain operational?
👉Currently, only one Sequencer is in operation, but there is always a Passive Sequencer on standby.
Response Strategy Based on Issue Type
• Code Failure: Similar to the consensus failure in Solana, if the system stops due to a code issue, the root cause must be identified and fixed before restarting. This is a common challenge faced by all L2s.
• Hardware Issue: If the failure is due to a simple physical issue (e.g., power being unplugged), the Passive Sequencer will immediately take over.
Future Multi-Sequencer Operation Plan
• Over time, multiple Sequencers will be operated, with some managed by external participants.
• To prepare for the possibility of malicious Sequencers, a Mega Sequencer (a continuously running backup Sequencer) will always be in place for intervention.
• However, if the issue is not a code failure, the Mega Sequencer can step in to maintain normal operation.
2. Networks like Base and other L2 solutions advertise low fees and fast transactions, but during high-demand events like major mints, gas fees often spike to 0.1–1 ETH. How does MegaETH address this issue?
👉The pricing (fees) in blockchain is determined by the network's processing capacity.
In L1, the entire network handles block creation, while in L2, the Sequencer is responsible. If the limits on computation, bandwidth, or storage are exceeded, costs increase accordingly.
The system is designed to regulate transaction throughput using fees to prevent network overload.
However, MegaEth has been designed to overcome these limitations. The biggest differentiator is the elimination of computation costs. This is what we mean when we say, "Gas limits are no more" in MegaEth.
"Gas limits are no more" → A new architecture removes traditional constraints.
With parallelization and EVM optimizations, the system can process significantly more transactions.
As a result, the point at which costs begin to rise is delayed much further compared to conventional systems.
3. With node specialization, the roles of nodes become more distinct, which might make certain types of nodes more vulnerable to targeted attacks. If a specific type of node is compromised by hackers, how does MegaETH mitigate the impact?
👉The key idea is distributed system resilience.
The Sequencer produces blocks, while full nodes receive and reflect them in the ecosystem. Attacking a single full node is possible, but the entire network remains secure due to decentralization.
In Solana, for example, if a full node operated by Jupiter is attacked, Jupiter can switch to another RPC provider, preventing disruptions.
This is not unique to MegaEth but a fundamental principle of distributed system design to ensure stability against targeted attacks.
4. Is there any plan for Special Discord Role for Fluffle NFT Buyers? What is the purpose of feeding Fluffles with Carrot?
👉 Fluffles will have upcoming announcements, with backend work and role for Fluffle holders nearly complete.
Feeding your Fluffles is a fun feature aimed at enhancing the connection between users and their Fluffles, rather than a grind-based task.
Fluffles is more than just a PFP collection; it allows users to connect with the ecosystem and brand by giving them choices, such as selecting their tribe, making their Fluffle feel unique and personalized. The focus is on creating a deeper, meaningful connection, not just offering 10,000 boxes like other NFT collections.
@0xHeisenbruh and @Alexandru1090 are in charge of coordinating this work.
5. Since MegaETH’s SBTs (Soulbound Tokens) are non-transferable, could this restriction limit the onboarding of new users instead of fostering adoption?
👉 This is just one of many methods, and there are more opportunities for people to get involved. For example, around 3,000 people participated in Echo Rays, and now it is expected that about 10,000 people can participate, with around 7,000 new participants after accounting for duplicates. Opportunities like quizzes are also available, and more initiatives are planned.
The primary goal is to continuously explore various ways for people to participate. Ultimately, the aim is to expand the brand and community through cosmetic elements like PFPs. Even if it isn't directly connected to the 10,000 PFP Fluffle NFTs, we will continue to find ways to spread the brand and community.
6. What would be the ideal "killer dApp" that can best leverage MegaETH's ultra-fast performance? Among MegaMafia’s offerings—social, DeFi, DEX, and gaming—which one do you see as the most promising killer dApp?
👉 Praise for Euphoria and Technical Innovation
@caseycraig and her team at
@Euphoria_fi are pioneering Tap Trading, effectively meeting the technical requirements essential for its success. Casey is highly intelligent and utilizes advanced technologies like Telegram bots to drive the project. The team's capability and their application's functionality are impressive, seamlessly combining the necessary features with an overall aesthetic that stands out.
Ultimate Goal for Community Growth and Participation
We are exploring various ways to foster community growth and encourage user participation. The key focus is ensuring that community members help each other grow, with each person playing a crucial role. Personally, the goal is to elevate members within the community, helping them grow their accounts and become "mega natives" who can eventually expand beyond our ecosystem. By supporting one another, we aim to broaden the community's influence and reach.

@SerrDavee's Question:
@SerrDavee raised concerns about the team's lack of responsiveness and communication during a crisis, highlighting confusion caused by the absence of clear responses from the team. They mentioned that one particular individual felt neglected, having been ignored multiple times despite reaching out for help.
@SerrDavee emphasized the need for official roles within the community, particularly people who could act as direct points of communication with the team. They argued that clear communication channels would help alleviate the anxiety of community members, especially during stressful periods like a major event or launch.
@0xBreadguy's Response:
Bread acknowledged the team's failure to manage the crisis properly, admitting that the team was too decentralized, making it hard to coordinate effectively. He explained that while the team tried to meet deadlines, unexpected issues arose, causing delays and further confusion. Bread agreed with
@SerrDavee' point about the lack of communication, stating that having dedicated moderators or representatives within the community could improve this. He also discussed the need to prepare the community ahead of time with proper guidelines and expectations to avoid future miscommunication. Bread promised that the team would refine their approach moving forward, focusing on improving communication channels to prevent similar issues in the future.
Additional :
• Bread highlighted that some technical founders, like Ylong and Lee, may not be active on Twitter but contribute indirectly by responding to filtered comments and tweets.
•
@SerrDavee pointed out the issue within the Mega mafia of focusing more on technical infrastructure than apps, creating a gap in user engagement. He emphasized the need to prioritize user-friendly applications to make the ecosystem more accessible.
•
@SerrDavee discussed the challenge of educating people about blockchain technology, stressing that understanding it is essential for mass adoption. He proposed hosting educational spaces to break down technical concepts and promote blockchain applications' real-world value.
• Dave shared efforts to improve community-building for Mega mafia projects.
• Dave mentioned that the founder(
@enzo_gte) of
@GTE_XYZ is doing a great job of engaging with the community and serving as an example for other founders.
A big thank you to @0xBreadguy and
@basit_ ()for their efforts in organizing the AMA, to @SerrDavees for their active contributions and valuable insights, and to all the participants for their involvement.
To plan the space, there was preparation from
@tbx_inmo,
@slowafk,
@mmyselfvvanilla and @0xMaxBT. A big thank you to them as well.
(Any additional comments or feedback are welcome. )
We need to build the community together!
