Here @chamath is framing a highly complex policy issue in an oversimplified manner that seeks to make the answer sound obvious. He should know better but I will go ahead and spell out why it’s a misleading question built on a pack of false assumptions.
1) it assumes everyone being sent to El Salvador is actually a domestic terrorist
2) it assumes the definition of a domestic terrorist is clearly defined
3) it assumes there is due process and innocent people are not caught in the dragnet
