Guess how this story ends:
1. One man,
@elonmusk takes the issue of free speech (which, by definition, applies mostly to speech you hate) as his personal mission
2. He spent more money than most countries make in a year to buy Twitter
3. After he found that a significant portion of Twitter staff did censorship, he fired basically all of them
4. After US president Biden sent censorship demands to Twitter for people who question war or vaccines (with questioning being a basic human right, and an enumerated US citizen right), Musk published them
5. After Disney's Bob Iger coordinated an effort among advertisers to stop advertising on Twitter in an effort to reinstate censorship, Musk commented "gfy" to Bob and anybody threatening the business with such blackmail. And the risk attached to burning this bridge is only his personal money (and a few others who could have expected this).
6. After a judge in Brazil ruled that that X was liable because it would not censor some Brazilian politicians at the request of other Brazilian politicians and held Musk's person money ransom, Musk said "no" kept access on via his Starlink system pending getting his money back.
7. While all this happens, Musk has taken over 80% of the capacity to send things into space. And operates his on internet company from space. And the only way to take them down is to shoot them from weapons in space which, again, Musk would have to put those weapons up there in the first place.

This is an extreme amount of integrity and putting personal fame and fortune behind a cause, free speech, that I know is an important human right.
Do not give up your own right to say what you believe in.
And here's just one thank you from me to
@elonmusk.

And here's how the story ends—with you and most people being able to say what you believe in, without fear or favor, in the especially turbulent times coming ahead.
