what we should be talking about is imbalanced power dynamics. that’s the real problem. you can analyze power without making sweeping and harmful statements about a supposed biological basis for not considering 18–25 year olds to be real adults.

I’m just so so thankful he was able to compete at Pyeongchang. It doesn’t matter where he placed, he got to go, after a season filled with setbacks not the least of which was an injury that threatened to keep him off ice for good. I’m happy he got to skate at the Olympics again.
