Didn’t think I’d lose my hair this time around with chemo, but it was falling out in clumps so it had to go. My kids weren’t quite old enough to remember the first time I was bald 6 yrs ago so they wanted to help this time. This will likely be a permanent look for me. 🤷🏻♀️

I don’t know what’s going on, but today is the first day in close to 3 years that I haven’t been in intense pain and throwing up 🙌🏼 I had forgotten what it’s like to just feel normal (well, as close to normal as possible for me), and it feels absolutely incredible!! Not the news I was hoping for. The cancer is spreadIng in my liver and has now spread to the lining of my lungs. Have to get my port back in to start IV chemo once again. They’re not messing around, started treatment today. At least my hair won’t fall out this time. Bonus!

Prayers appreciated! Had a few good days after recovering from my latest chemo treatment, but back in the hospital for 5 days now waiting for answers, trying to get the pain under control, and figure out next course of treatment, if any. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

Another long day at the hospital. Been here since 7:30am, it’s now 3pm and I still have probably a couple more hours to go. Treatment, bloodwork/labs, draining fluid from my abdomen, getting an X-ray of my abdomen to see what’s causing the excruciating pain, meeting with my oncologist, meeting with my pain doctor etc etc. Just another day in the life of Erin. Quick update since some have been asking 🫶🏼 Recent brain scan was good, so no cancer in my brain yet 🙌🏼
The cancer has spread more in my liver and a couple other places however which has been causing horrific pain that no amount of pain meds will touch…so that hasn’t been fun.
On a positive note, my eyebrows and eyelashes have grown back in which I’m pretty excited about! Just taking things day by day…that’s all I can do!
Now get back to enjoying this crypto craziness! 📈💕

Well my most recent scans were not good…at all. The tumors in my liver have doubled in size. It has spread to my lungs and my lungs are filling with fluid which would explain why I’ve been having a hard time breathing. The cancer has also spread to my pelvis which I suppose would explain why I’ve been having a hard time walking.
So I’m at the hospital getting the fluid from my lungs drained (seems like that will be painful), and also getting fluid drained from my abdomen. Starting on a different chemo treatment as well. Hoping for a miracle at this point 🙏🏼

A memorial lunch was held this past Friday on a beautifully sunny day. There were a lot of tears, but also a lot of laughs and great memories shared. Bold and brave like their mom, her kids shared a few words in remembrance of her which we posted below.

I have some big decisions to make in the next couple weeks. I’m waiting to see my oncologist and find out the results of my latest scans. I’m going to talk to him about my wish to discontinue all treatment and just let nature take it’s course. I feel like chemo is hurting more than it’s helping. I’ve had sooo many problems recently directly related to the chemo and I just want quality of life over quantity at this point. It’s been over 7 years of this and I don’t feel like I have much fight left. I guess we’ll see what he says and see what options I have, but I’m just so tired.
