On my way back from the IP2 Conference in Victoria, B.C. Can’t stop thinking about one thing. @klijakub and I were the only participants from Poland. Out of almost 100 people I guess there were less than 10 folks outside of north america. Met @aniamargaret, a canadian with polish last name. Turned out not only she spent a few childhood years in a city when I lived in, but we almost lived next door in the same neighborhood! Plus, she went to the elementary school with my wife! What were the odds?! 0.00001?% Idk. Anyway, had a blast there. Two days hanging out and learning from @awilkinson @nickgraynews @stephsmithio @ShaanVP @gregisenberg and many more Interesting People. Thank you Andrew, Karen, Monica, Nick! The premise was that we all hate conferences and this one will be almost an anti-conference. And you all overdelivered!

The idea behind this high-fidelity SaaS wireframe kit is simple. As a founder, you can convey your idea quickly and use it in your pitch deck. As a designer, you build a wireframe, and you don't have to repeat 100x times, "it's not UI, it's not final, it's just a wireframe."

Downplaying design at an early stage is over. It enables hiring great talent, compellingly telling your story, or simply looking legit for customers. Good design isn't optional. Especially in a crowded space like fintech, where the bar for aesthetics is super high. Thus, all @btv_vc The Mint accelerator startups have access to our design sprints. We helped set the foundational visual language, tweak product mockups, or ponder the brand from the ground up. September was a crazy ride, not gonna lie. But the opportunity to work alongside the founders in the batch almost all at once is unforgettable. Looking forward to the demo day!

We've helped several venture firms with their LP decks. Some insights: 1/ New firms devote anywhere between 4-8 slides full of venn diagrams, lifecycle charts, and market maps to explain their thesis. Veterans raising another fund don't exceed 3 pages (unless they have many vintages and the performance table spans over more than a slide) 2/ While both always include their teams, starting a new firm means introducing yourself from the get-go and focusing on your past career track record. Also, larger funds have separate investing and ops teams, and it's easier to list everyone within the last slides. 3/ Interestingly, it doesn't matter if you're an emerging manager or a seasoned patagonia vest wearer when comes to portco founders' testimonials. We've found 4 is the sweetspot, but it's better to use them contextually if you're raising for the first time. Namely, to back specific claims, instead of grouping them all together on a testimonial slide.

Couldn't be more excited about the launch! Our team @altalogy has had the pleasure of working with @kshenster, @Mark_Goldberg_ , @ethankurz and @jimbovig for the last few months on Chemistry brand. So when I jumped on a call with Kristina and saw Mark sitting next to her I was like: "Okay, they're brewing something big..." 🔥 Two weeks later, we were ready to go. Vasu and I met here in DMs over two years ago. We wanted to do something together, but we initially couldn't find a perfect fit for the first project. Changing priorities, availability, expertise-scope alignment etc. That changed in the summer of '22 This was the first time we got to design human-machine interfaces. Web and mobile UX/UI are at our core, and we had to break design rules that felt almost ingrained in our minds. Font sizes, paddings, composition - all seemed odd at first. We were lucky to receive thoughtful feedback and guidance, working closely with Vasu and his team. Really appreciate your trust, @VasuNadella! Huge congrats to the whole @vitalbio team for putting in crazy amounts of effort to create something meaningful in one the hardest (if not the hardest) spaces. All design credits go to @mm_olczak 💪
