Today marks the official (re-)start of adidas web3 journey. With the /// studio team we worked hard since the official formation of the studio beginning of the year to create a new vision on how we show up in the space and how we live the values. We learned a lot since December 2021 and we are excited to finally bring some of our work to life.
It is a special moment for me as well. As a product manager, I have always been amazed by the migration from thinking about users and consumers to involving community members and making them a co-creator, co-innovator, collaborator and ultimately also co-beneficiary of all we do.
There is nothing like web3 in fostering a true co-creation.
Back in February we introduced our /// council - a group of 15 dedicated individuals who truly care for their community peers. During the last weeks we have spent a lot of time working together and making the product, the communications around it and the experience better.
I am proud with what we have achieved and looking forward for the next steps in this journey.

Two years ago we launched adidas Originals - Into the Metaverse. Initially we thought we will introduce a new way to drop physical product and nothing more. But then we realized that this space has much bigger potential to disrupt the connection between the physical and digital worlds.
Two years later we are still building despite the setbacks in the NFT space and I cannot be more excited about our plans for 2024.
We had to take a minute to recalibrate in the last 1-2 months, re-evaluate the long term strategy and ensure we are set up for success. This process is now largely done and we are ready to push for the next steps for ALTS by adidas, but also for more to come in 2024 for web3 and adidas.

Hello @imaarondoteth - your feedback is valid. ENS is a great tool and we'd love to support it in the future. The goal of the Golden Ticket raffle in #adidasCONFIRMED is to expose NFTs to a new community which may not yet be familiar with all the benefits of NFTs. Therefore, this time around we opted to use full wallet addresses as it helps us easier validate if an entry is valid.
Overall, however, our commitment is to expand and support our web3 efforts and make the journey as smooth as possible. This means we will, in the future, for sure support ENS as well.

1. Random allocation 🎲
Your ALT[er] Ego will get allocated randomly to your ALT on May 1, 2023. Then you will be eligible to enter one of the 8 rooms in the Rift Valley Motel.
2. Universal Key 🔑
If you don’t want to leave that to chance, you have the choice to purchase a Universal Key to choose your preferred ALT[er] Ego. This will start tomorrow, April 15, at 7 pm CET / 1 pm EST. Supplies are limited. Only 3500 keys are available. The Universal Key will grant you access, earlier than other ALTS, to any room of your choosing on a first come first serve basis until the limit of each room is reached.
3. General Manager Key (GM Key) 🔑🍀
Upon purchasing, 175 holders completely at random will receive the General Manager [GM] Key. This key will grant you guaranteed 24 hours early access to select your ALT[er] ego compared to the universal key holders.
4. Visual updates 🫀
The visual metadata on your ALTS by adidas NFT will be updated depending on which key you possess: the Universal Key or the GM Key (early access).
5. Fair distribution ⚖️
We believe everyone deserves the chance to get into any of the 8 ALT[er] Egos, whether holding a key or not. We don’t want to take away the suspense. This is why we have reserved 30% of each ALT[er] Ego of the current supply for the random allocation. That way we ensure that anyone who did not purchase a Universal Key has the chance to be allocated to any of the 8 rooms by chance.
