It’s true the state of cities like SF is appalling. But are recent tech worker emigres advocating for any solutions like more affordable housing or investment in mental health services? Or do they just complain for the sake of it ?
Much of San Francisco downtown looks like the city just gave up on itself. Drug addicts openly doing fentanyl and passed out everywhere, mentally ill screaming, homeless sprawled out everywhere, dilapidated empty storefronts and trash everywhere. I've been here for 6 months and am still not used to this. It's absolutely appalling, and all government leaders responsible for this should be ashamed and fired. If no government leader can solve this, then the system itself is broken, and we need to hit the reset button and start over. The current situation of San Francisco's downtown is completely unacceptable, and we need to hold ourselves to a higher standard than this abomination.
