ok, a few things worth remembering: 1) there is no migrant or refugee crisis in Canada. 2) many (most?) of the refugee claimants in Ontario shelters aren’t border-crossers. 3) Toronto and other cities need fed/prov help to address longstanding - not new - shelter inadequacies.

Just to be clear, that’s not how anything works. Canada still has international obligations to the most vulnerable people, even during a pandemic.
The government just confirmed they’re allowing illegal border crossings. Instead of turning people away, we’re letting them in and paying for their health care and quarantine. There are concerns about having enough equipment just for our own citizens. This needs to stop now.
