To be honest, Kennedy is human, flawed like the rest of us. He conquered his addictions years ago via Rehab, Treatment and a renewed Relationship with God. He is a model of hope and recovery for others lost in pain and fracture of some kind. Praise God.

She may be afraid for her friend, and maybe for herself too. Why not just say, I know dear, these are scary times. Please tell your friend we love her and will pray for her safety. Soothing words? If that and a hug are enough. Great. If not,contextualize it.

I was working in a mental hospital when the 70’s Mental Health Act was passed, watching acutely psychotic and min controlled patients let loose on to the streets. To us it was appalling but the Act did protect patients from involuntary hospitalizations. Act went too far.
