Just wrapped our first-ever! Design Engineering internship, and I’m not the same. 😭
@floguo & @_chloeyan joined wide eyed and full of questions, and over 12 weeks, became the heart of our team. They navigated a summer of the best kind of chaos, Tailwind migrations, design shifts and faster than fast shipping cycles, with humor, grace, and so much grit.
Flo inspired structure and momentum wherever she went. Chloe brought a quiet confidence that reminded us beauty and care aren’t polish, they’re part of the foundation. Together, they reminded me over and over and over again what this job is actually about: people, curiosity, and building with care.
It was my absolute privilege to be their manager. I learned so much from existing in the same universe as them.
The team feels different already without the two of them, and that’s the best kind of internship legacy 🖤🏴☠️

3+ years at Bustle and I’ve got nothing but good things to say about my team, Bryan and the entire company. ✌️
I can't speak to whether it's good or bad that Bryan Goldberg bought Gawker, bc I don't know him. What I do know: working at Bustle Media was a uniformly positive experience. I felt incredibly supported, and I worked with some of the smartest women in media. That's my take, FWIW.
