What is MultiversX Chess Showdown?
The Showdown consists of three events: The Builder Battle is the qualifier tournament for the Showdown against the MvX Team. MvX Builders are competing for 3 spots to take on the MvX Team in the grand finale. The Community Arena is open to all players, with a large prize pool for the top players as well as raffles for all participants.

What are the wagers for the Chess Showdown?
If the Builder Team wins, the MvX core team will change their Twitter PFPs to NFTs. If MvX Team wins, Builders will stake an extra 10 EGLD.
Who can compete in the MultiversX Chess Showdown?
MvX Builders and project teams compete in the Builder Battle and the Chess Showdown. The Community Arena is open to everyone.
How are the winners of the Community Arena determined, and what are the prizes?
The winners of the Community Arena will be determined based on their performance in the games. Prizes include a portion of the prize pool, which will consist of various rewards, including eGLD and NFTs provided by projects within the MultiversX ecosystem.
All players who complete a minimum of 6 games will be entered into a raffle with valuable prizes on the line. There will also be special awards in various categories, from โBest Gameโ to โWorst Blunderโ.
How can I receive my prize?
You need to set up a digital wallet on the MultiversX network. You can download the

A manual is also provided in the Community Arena Registration form. Prizes will be sent approximately 72 hours after the tournament has ended, when the fairplay review has been completed.

How can I watch the events?
All three events will be streamed live and with commentary on Youtube (
piped.video/@TheWeb3Arena). MultiversX Founder and CEO
@beniaminmincu will be on the broadcast to co-host the Showdown on Sept 6.
Will there be interactive elements during the broadcast?

Is there an entry fee for the Community Arena?
No. Plus, the Builders & projects participating are providing a generous prize pool for all contestants.
Are there any rules or guidelines for behavior during the events?
Yes, we expect all participants to adhere to respectful and sportsmanlike conduct. Any form of cheating or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in immediate disqualification. Attempts to cheat or other unethical behavior will lead to a permanent ban from all future events.
How do you prevent cheating in the tournaments?
We have strong anti-cheating measures in place. In addition to the cheat detection on
lichess.org and an automated AI review, games will be reviewed manually by our anti-cheating commission. Therefore, no prizes will be awarded until the fair play review has concluded. Allow 72 hours.
What is the purpose of the MultiversX Chess Showdown event?
The primary purpose of the event is to showcase the MultiversX ecosystem, promote community engagement, and provide a fun and competitive platform for the Web3 ecosystem to come together.
