1 hour of work in the UK = £11.44 (1144 Pence) 1 hour of work in Nigeria (70,000 ÷ (8 hours × 20 days) = N437.5 Average price of petrol in UK = 145.79 Pence. Therefore, an hour's wage in the UK will fetch you (1144 ÷ 145.79) = 7.8 litres of petrol. An hours wage in Nigeria fetches you (437.5 ÷ 770) = 0.57 litres. To be able to afford the 7.8 litres as your peer in the UK, you have to work for 13.7 hours. You have to work thirteen times as hard to afford the same commodity. Remember, time is something you never get back. But hey! Peter Obi will never be president...

Supporting the Future: A Visit to St. John Vianney College. In continuation of my desire to keep investing in the future of our children, yesterday Friday 4th of July, I had the honour of visiting St. John Vianney Science College, Ukwulu, to personally congratulate the students and staff on their remarkable victory at the inaugural UK-Nigeria Debate Championship. Their achievement brought pride not only to Anambra but to all of Nigeria. In recognition of their brilliance and to support their continued growth, I presented the school with a ₦10 million donation towards infrastructural development. A sound learning environment remains essential if our children are to compete globally. I encouraged the students to see their victory as a collective triumph for all young Nigerians who believe that excellence can emerge from our classrooms. I urged them to keep studying hard, reminding them that their future - and the nation’s - lies in their hands. To the staff and management, I expressed my admiration for their noble work. Their success affirms that even schools in rural areas, when properly supported, can attain global standards. It is a call for us all to continue investing in our children. I also extend deep appreciation to the school’s proprietor, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma (Fr. Ebube Muonso), for his visionary leadership and commitment to academic excellence and moral formation. His dedication has created an environment where students can thrive, not just locally, but on the global stage. The team at St. John Vianney exemplifies what Nigerian youths can achieve when given the right foundation. I am deeply inspired by their discipline, eloquence, and intellect. May their success continue to inspire many more across the country. -PO

But for Ambode, places like Ayobo, Ikola, Alagbado, Alakuko, Aboru, and even Abule-Egba were not easily accessible, talk more of experiencing development. In 4 years, he completed the dualisation of the Iyana-Ipaja/Ayobo road, opened up Ikola through access roads, leading to Sango-Ota, built access roads across Command, Alagbado, Alakuko, circling back to Iju. He built the Aboru link bridg and Abule-Egba bridge too. I hear a similar thing was going on in Epe. Then the wicked powers that be said "this is too much for the people" and kicked him out. I'm poised to believe that the underdevelopment you see in some parts is very intentional...

Doctors across teaching hospitals in Nigeria have complained about the absence of defibrillators at their various hospitals. The average cost of a defibrillator is about £1,650, which is 3,465,000 Naira (at 2,100 per pound). 366,000,000 ÷ 3,465,000 = 105.6 units of defibrillators. These would equip each state with about 3 defibrillators, leading to saved lives and avoidable deaths. Instead, your government has spent it in three days, on tyres that serve only a select few. Before you support these people and their actions, think. You might be the next victim of an avoidable death situation...

As germane as this is, the Corp member who earns 100k today, would do less with his 100k compared to a Corp member who earned 19,800 some years ago. For example, in 2012, petrol sold for 65/litre. Today it's about 600/litre. 19,800/65 = 304.6 litres 100,000/600 = 166.7 litres This tells you how much of your purchasing power has been wiped away under these people, affecting your overall quality of life. But of course, somebody sang "Nigeria Jaga Jaga", so there's no way we were better off then...
By the way, Just so we are clear; NYSC Corpers should be paid at least 100,000 naira per month. Many of these people need the money to take care of families, start small businesses, take professional exams and kickstart their lives. It’s an insane scandal that they earn less. But one of the problems with conversations like this is that you will still see one corper idiot that will come here to defend their own underpayment and exploitation. Just give this tweet an hour.

P&G invested about $300m to build a production plant in Agbara, Ogun state. In 2017, they launched that plant, only for it to be shut down less than a year later. One major reason cited by insiders, was the government's policy on importation of raw materials. Today, they plan to engage in zero local production. Earlier in the year, PZ Cussons announced their intention to get delisted from the Nigerian stock exchange due to the devaluation of the Naira. We are all feeling the brunt of the exit of GSK. You can see how politicians are running the country aground and investors are losing confidence in their numbers. Yet, you have educated and enlightened individuals defending this level of incompetence in the hope that they too may one day have access to public money by way of political appointment...

Everybody is suddenly engrossed with statistics. I love it...
After I learned about CBN's latest money and credit statistics from @NuesDaily and @MohammedMusa_ I downloaded the spreadsheet. Mind-blowing stats: 1) Money supply M2 went from ₦71.3 trillion in November to ₦92.9 trillion in January. It grew by a whopping 30.3% in 2 months. 2) Narrow money M1 went from ₦26.18 trillion to ₦31.23t during the same period. 19.27% growth in 2 months. 3) Credit to government, which is essentially Ways & Means, went from ₦22.13t in September, to ₦9 trillion in October, to ₦5.16 trillion in November, which makes no sense. Then suddenly it bounced back to ₦33.7t in December and rose to ₦36 trillion in January. Did they want to just write off the debt only to learn that they can't do that? Even the APC govt cannot borrow N28 trillion in a single month. Is this a scandal? 4) Money in bank accounts (demand deposits) is up by 21% since November. 21% more naira chasing dollars. 5) Credit to private sector is up by 28.8% between November and January. ₦59.7t to ₦76.9t.🤨 Smart people in finance, what exactly is going on here?

In all of this, my major concern is that an organisation is referred to as "I". "I must assert", as how???
@PeterObi, Your Excellency, I must assert that our examination is scheduled to commence at 8:00am, not 6:00 am. While verification and other clearance processes begins at 6:30am , it is imperative that candidates are afforded adequate time to settle in before the exam begins.
