For 5 days we struggled to get up to $16,000. In the blink of an evening, we had raised $100,678 with 2,259 individual donations. We determined the funds raised beyond the cost of the vehicle need to be placed in a 504c(4) account. This caused an interesting issue. How do you spend $100,678 less fees on something Scott can actually use on a daily basis. We then went back to John at Ciocca of York and said “what do you have that will fit the bill perfectly?” Keep in mind Scott is: 6’5” tall Keeps his car cram packed with voter registration forms And drives a lot. John at Ciocca had a brand new 2024 Suburban with the Duramax 3.0L diesel engine that gets 26 mpg on the road Ok, we said - after all the smoke clears, where do we stand? @gofundme has transferred $11,599.95 so far. They say $85,554.85 is on the way in the coming days. That gives us $97,154.80. Scotts truck with the extended warranty, taxes, et al comes out to $103,966.69. From the original amount go fund me released the first day when this all started we used $1,200 to make a deposit on what we thought was going to be the used CRV. This has been transferred over to the suburban leaving us a balance of $101,766.69. This leaves us $6,811.89 short. Now some people went back and canceled their donations because of the whole holding money debacle. Basically in a nutshell we are looking to raise $9,000 to give any needed buffer. We have spoken in person to Jacob Wells the CEO of @GiveSendGo . He has agreed if we can get this knocked out today, they will make sure they do everything in their power to make this happen this week to keep us on track for Saturday - assuming Go Fund Me actually comes through. Apparently there are people who do not appreciate the career path Scott has chosen. The easiest solution is for Scott to spend as much of the total as possible on a vehicle at one time. Senators, I am reaching out to you today because of an issue with crowd funding. Myself and five of my friends started a Go Fund Me for a friend of ours. I’m pissed as hell today. So all of this support that went into making the Suburban happen for @ScottPresler was a result of finding a problem and fixing it. We didn’t realize Scott was not being taken care of by the @GOP We all assumed Scott had all of the resources needed to keep getting voters registered in Pennsylvania. NOT SO. An open letter to Congressman Mike Waltz - FL 6th. We have a problem. Congressman, I am reaching out to you today because of an issue with crowd funding. Myself and five of my friends started a Go Fund Me for a friend of ours. We set an ambitious goal of $100,000 for a new vehicle for our friend Scott. Amazingly, we achieved that goal in 6 days with 2,259 individual donations averaging $44.60. We set things in motion to get him the vehicle of his dreams. Initially Go Fund Me released $11,599.95. They are currently holding $85,554.84. We have come to the belief this is because of our friend Scott Presler’s ( @ScottPresler ) political work. This fundraiser made clear it was for him personally. Over the past few days, We have also come to realize many more Americans have told us similar stories about crowd funding and a correlation of political views. Where I think we have an egregious case, many fellow Floridians have shared about raising money for hurricane relief and not being able to receive the funds. We would like to know once and for all if crowd funding sites are delaying funding based on ideology, sexual orientation, race, or religion. What legislation needs to be passed and what hearings need to take place for Americans, specifically Floridians to feel safe if they raise money that it will be received in a timely fashion? That is when I was told EVA was $500K short on funding to finish the election After a lot of us posting about this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday then being a part of the live stream on Monday the funding gap for EVA was down to $300K roughly After a lot of us doing a ton of posting yesterday, the funding gap is down to $227K - Yesterday was a good day What we do know is “they” are still not supporting EVA. I do not care about RINO opinions about why. I care about crossing the finish line with a win We know EVA still has a funding need to keep the 70+ people on the ground These people are on the ground busting their asses 18+ hours a day. They are living on peanuts. NO, they are not all volunteers When people say “Scott didn’t seem happy.” Well, it’s because we only solved 1/4 of the overall problem. We really solved the dependable transportation. Let me elaborate - we were able to personally give Scott a really nice SUV This left a funding gap with EVA. This is what is on everyone’s mind Individual donors are stepping up to close the funding gap everyday but none of the “big guys” are helping finish the fight. No one is saying the “big guys” have never helped. They simply are not helping in the final 6 days of need Forgive Scott for feeling like he doesn’t have time to sit back and celebrate. He literally could save democracy as we know it for the entire world. Imagine the weight to carry on your shoulders for the next 6 days. A win in PA = 96% success rate Scott has changed the political landscape in Pennsylvania forever I know so many of us do not have the funds to donate again. I understand.
