At least three situations this event of people acting out... Really disappointing to see things like this. You aren't being 'funny' by doing these things. Just do better people, it really isn't hard.
Having to explain how come some people would print and write something like this, to my girlfriend and my father in law was not nice.
I invited them to experience what I consider to be the #1 CS event all year. Invited them to see what I do for a living, and experience the greatest atmosphere Counter Strike has to offer.
I’m sad this also had to be part of the story. I find it hard to explain, cause what exactly is the reasoning to make something like this makes sense?
I do my job, and I do it with all I got. I bust my ass off every event to do it justice.
I spend 200 days away from home every single year, devouring my entire professional life to this wonderful game. You may not agree with everything I say or do, and that’s totally fair. But let’s keep it civil shall we, my job is a BIG part of my life, but it ain’t all of my life.
This crossed a line for me, and I hope that’s the last time I have to explain to someone in my life, what ugly sides also tag along.

Cologne was once again absolutely fantastic in every other aspect. City was full of life, the atmosphere in the arena remarkable. Beyond excited to return next year for the IEM Cologne 2026 Major ❤️

Breaking down Wildcard’s path to the NA RMR is wild... they used a NA stand-in to force a region lock change from NA/EU to just NA, avoiding the risk of ending up in the EU MRQ. The player they replaced was actually in NA during the event and had no issues playing. They switched their region to NA before the VRS update and accepted the NA invite — but are still allowed to use their EU player and original lineup, which would’ve had them playing in the EU MRQ.
Not hating on the team or the players, but the rules and Valve for letting this happen. If the rule literally says: “Team roster may optionally include 1 substitute player that, were they to replace any core player, would not alter the Regional Assignment of the Core Lineup” — and that’s exactly what happened changing from NA to NA/EU then what the frick are you guys doing @CounterStrike
Please patch this loophole or enforce your rules.

We lost 123.88 points for losing 5 pointless BO1s this ECL. It would make sense for us to for us to not play in region as well. The system doesnt make sense and this season of ECL being 2 x BO1s didn't help it either.
- I don't want to play any domestic CS next year

Something I noticed in CS2 is there is a weird movement mechanic when you change heights on a ledge or stair your POV will move up or down delayed. It makes it feel less polished IMO and is unnecessary. Don't know if it's intended but I'm not a fan of it. @CounterStrike pls fix

A lot of people are bashing all the players/zonic here but its pretty common for teams to 'empty the pot' every once in a while, especially if things arent working or it feels like their is tension. Its never good to let things build up or to talk between teammates about issues with certain players. Thats what it seems like in this situation (albeit I didn't watch the full video). It can definitely help figure things out and work through issues in an open environment. Its very odd/wrong that they'd release a video containing it through.

Short bit about NA ...
TL;DR - Liquids move was expected, Tier 2 NA doesn't deserve any special treatment, Improvement in the scene will come from more events being hosted here.
Liquid going EU - Liquids move was pretty obvious from my perspective, and I’m sure many others in the scene. They wanted experienced, hungry players to be fighting for the #1 spot. Patsi hits that spot and has been a bright light on spirit. I don't know much about Rainwaker but I'm sure he'll perform very well with yekindar and naf to help him. Why didn’t Liquid keep a majority NA? I think it comes down to risk and reward, almost every NA player they could have gone for besides autimatic would have been a risk and throwing them into moving to EU would put a ton of stress on them to perform. There was the talk about how much easier it is to obtain a spot in NA for majors and such but Liquid is wanting to be winning all these events outright. They don't care about the extra 'risk' as they feel they should be deserving of it anyways.
Tier 2 NA - It has improved a lot recently but still has a far way to go. Liquid leaving doesn’t necessarily hurt in that way as they weren’t practicing much to begin with here as they deemed it harmful (which to a point I can see). The frustrating thing is I think mechanical skill is/has dropped off here. When scrimming, you can make so many mistakes in rounds but still win them consistently because you’re better players individually and it creates a never-ending trend of mistakes and failure to improve. The first thing I notice when I have gone to Europe is when you DM you die SO much faster. We need to focus up and put in more time if we do want to improve. Spamming pugs/FPL isn't the way.
Improving - What will improve NA? God only knows, unfortunately. If there was a pro league season held here holy moly that would be beneficial. NA pro league will not come back so that’s out the window but the possibility for a season of EPL hosted here is likely in my opinion. Good practice is the most beneficial, but at the same time it relies on individuals to be ready when that practice comes. Every round you play take a second to ask yourself what you could have done differently and take note of that. Watch demos and ask yourself questions when watching them and try to determine why things are happening to get a better understanding of what they were thinking.
What will change? Hopefully a lot. If we don't change then NA will just be dead in the water.

Sure there is bugs and those will be fixed in due time, but its a mental thing too. If you keep telling yourself something sucks then you’ll just hate it. If the pros played FPL in NA it'd be incredibly beneficial to the scene. More exposure to talent, makes players better, and brings more attention to NACS. They aren't the reason for the state of NACS but they are definitely not helping as much as they could.

The BHop fix update has made the game so much more enjoyable… rewarding good movement like before. Feeling better every update.
Valve’s performance-related updates have significantly improved my personal experience.
I played four deathmatch sessions without teleporting once or having any issues with tick slamming.
There wasn’t a single network-related stutter, and the framerate is now stable even in the endgame.
All of my network metrics are roughly 95% flat, with no more jitter.
I even double checked that I had exitlag closed just to make sure I wasn’t tripping out lol.
My build info is now more stable, with only small exceptions at times, but it’s far better than it used to be.
