Sharing some very tough personal news - Starbucks has decided to sunset Odyssey. There’s a ton of uncertainty about my future now because I just lost my full-time job, but I'm doing my best to look at the positives.
I'm incredibly grateful for Starbucks and the opportunity they provided me. In the last 15 months, I had the chance to work with one of my favorite brands on the planet. I learned from the best and brightest minds in customer loyalty, and throughout my role as Community Lead for the beta program, I was allowed to be myself every step of the way.
I’ll really miss spending every single day with the amazing community. From the silly inside jokes, to the custom gifs, to our shared obsession with coffee…it’s a special group. I wish I didn’t love and care about that community so much…it would make this a lot easier if they weren’t so awesome.
I don’t know what the future holds for me. My world is rocked; this is a massive and sudden change for me. But as I ponder it, I’ll be drinking a grande cold brew and chowing down a birthday cake pop from the world’s best coffee company.
