Here's where the opportunity lies in this multi-trillion dollar economy:
1/ Platforms (digital platforms and e-commerce marketplaces) currently account for $36 trillion in global payment volumes. These super apps offer numerous products, services, and financial solutions. Embedded payments are central, enabling transactions without leaving the platform.
2/ E-commerce, digital identity, and the gig and creator economies account for $6.8 trillion in global payment volumes.
3/ Digital wallets outside traditional banks allow storage of value, fund transfers, and purchases via digital payment rails. Wallets account for $4.4 trillion in global payment volumes.
4/ Embedded payment solutions enhance shopping convenience and integrate financial services into daily activities. Connected devices like wearables, cars, and appliances enable instant, contextual, contactless payments. Embedded payments account for $1.1 trillion in global payment volumes.
5/ The demand for convenient, secure, instantaneous payments is growing, whether for e-commerce or remittances. Real-time transactions account for $5.3 trillion in global payment volumes.
