@Webex recently announced the expansion of its portfolio focused on serving government orgs and, more importantly, the achievement of
#FedRAMP moderate authorization for its Webex Contact Center Enterprise for Government.
In addition, the company announced that Webex for Government will be expanded, and will include Webex Calling, bringing Webex messaging, calling, and meetings functionality in one platform to government entities.

#Government is likewise FedRAMP authorized and is expected to be available sometime later this year, joining Cisco’s Unified Comms Manager Cloud for Government, which is currently available and in use.
I believe this presents many opportunities for Cisco and that focusing on its strengths in the security arena is a very smart move for Webex, presenting an outsized opportunity to dominate by leveraging its strengths: the network and security for that network. And as I touch on in this article, security is a speed game, and one that the pros, of which Cisco certainly is, can capitalize on — and dominate.
