Congresswoman, in what way do you believe that your support helped this project? We chose it because it's a good project, and funded it using President Biden's infrastructure package, which you voted against.
Great meeting with Glenwood Springs City Councilor and former Mayor Jonathan Godes. We have secured over $51.4 million for the South Bridge. Was thrilled to hear about nearly $30 million in costs savings in addition and that my support has helped make this project a reality.
Community note
Boebert hasn’t secured 51.4 million dollars for this bridge. The money came from a Biden-Harris grant that is part of the “Rural Surface Transportation Grant Program”, which itself is a part of the“Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act” which Boebert voted against. postindependent.com/news/city-of-g… clerk.house.gov/Votes/2021208 ridewithvia.com/resources/usdo

The facts don't lie. The 2021 letter you signed was obviously drafted by railroad industry lobbyists. It supports waivers that would reduce visual track inspections. Now: will you vote to help us toughen rail safety accountability and fines, or not?
First @SecretaryPete was m.i.a. on the derailment Then he lies to media claiming my 2021 letter calling for more track inspections was a letter calling for deregulation He is an incompetent who is focused solely on his fantasies about his political future & needs to be fired

Thanks, Senator—we're proud to see these major bridge investments take shape. Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Biden-Harris administration has sent $4.9 billion to South Carolina for 337 projects—including the replacement of the Lake Marion Bridge.
I am very pleased and grateful that after working with Congressman Clyburn, Governor McMaster and other state and local officials, we were able to secure a $175 million federal grant to build new bridges on I-95 over Lake Marion. The current bridge infrastructure needs to be replaced. The surrounding community is growing as one of the premier destinations for sportfishing, and the bridges will enhance economic opportunity across South Carolina. The U.S. Department of Transportation made this award based on merit, and it shows what can happen when officials from South Carolina at the state, federal and local level work together to tell our story. This will be transformative and create new opportunities for Santee, Summerton, and the entire state.

The benefit of *not being lead poisoned* is not speculative. It is enormous. And because lead poisoning leads to irreversible cognitive harm, massive economic loss, and even higher crime rates, this work represents one of the best returns on public investment ever observed.
Biden wants to replace lead pipes. He failed to mention that the unfunded mandate sets an almost impossible timeline, will cost billions, infringe on the rights of the States and their residents – all for benefits that may be entirely speculative. #sotu ag.ks.gov/media-center/news-…
