President Trump’s endorsement means the world to me. I am humbled by his faith in me as a Senator and as a friend. On a professional level, I am proud to have been there at the beginning when President Trump — through sheer force of will —achieved the greatest political comeback in American history. On a personal level, I genuinely enjoy our friendship. He’s an awesome golfing buddy, who I have yet to beat. I look forward to being one of the driving forces in the U.S. Senate to enact President Trump’s agenda to make America more prosperous and more secure. Thank you, Mr. President.

Sanctuary cities and states are a threat to the entire nation. Illegal alien criminals are being protected by Sanctuary Democrats that care more about protecting illegals than the safety of Americans. How many more Americans need to be assaulted or killed before Sanctuary policies come to an end? This is why I’ve introduced the End Sanctuary Cities Act. We will hold accountable each and every sanctuary city official for refusing to follow federal law. Enough is enough!
This illegal alien who EXPOSED HIS GENITALS to one woman and then tried to ABDUCT another was previously RELEASED by Fairfax County sanctuary politicians. Despite being arrested for drug trafficking in 2024, sanctuary politicians REFUSED to hand this predator over to ICE and released him from jail. @GovernorVA and Virginia sanctuary politicians must commit to honoring @ICEgov’s detainer and NOT RELEASE him back into our communities.

The Supreme Court affirmed that @POTUS, not activist judges, has the authority to enforce our nation’s immigration laws.   This ruling is a major victory for our Constitution, the rule of law and America’s sovereignty.

Georgetown harbor dredging is moving forward! This part of the coast is a South Carolina treasure, which is why I fought to secure the funding to keep it up and running.   Deepening the harbor will breathe new life into Georgetown businesses and keep commerce flowing through South Carolina.   postandcourier.com/georgetow…

I had a great meeting with @DAGToddBlanche about his pending nomination and upcoming confirmation hearing before the @SenJudiciaryGOP Committee.   I have known Todd for years and can attest that he is a man of the highest level of integrity and character. I think he’s an outstanding choice by @POTUS to be our next Attorney General. Todd has a wealth of legal experience that has prepared him well for the duties of the job, which he’s been handling in the Acting Attorney General role.   I intend to enthusiastically support his nomination.

Cannot overly stress how important last night’s re-vote was. @SenateGOP shot down Democrat-led efforts under the War Powers Act to restrict President Trump’s ability to deal with the Iranian threat. This vote sends a clear message to Iran that @POTUS is empowered to deal with the conflict as he sees fit with all options on the table. Pray for peace.

A very interesting idea by Marc Thiessen and others to take frozen Iranian assets as an offset to some U.S. taxpayer dollars to replenish our depleted stockpile of weapons.   I believe most Americans would be okay with taking financial assets from a terrorist regime — that has been wreaking havoc on the planet — and using that money to help replenish U.S. weapons stockpiles that are being used to advance freedom and security.   I intend to have an amendment to the supplemental appropriations bill that would do just that. Hopefully, it will garner massive bipartisan support.
Great to join @kilmeade on @foxandfriends to discuss Iran negotiations. The $80B Iran supplemental should be paid for by Iranian frozen assets!

I believe it is imperative that to the extent possible the Senate re-vote the Iran War Powers resolution – and defeat it.   The president’s concern about Iran being emboldened by this vote in the middle of negotiations to end this war is not unwarranted. Frankly, it’s just common sense.   What’s ironic is that votes like this have the unintended consequence of extending the conflict.   If possible, we should re-vote.

As usual, Speaker Gingrich has gotten it right. The American people would like to see the Iranian conflict end honorably and without further violence, if possible. As Speaker Gingrich stated in his post, because of the decisive action of President Trump and our military, we may have an historic opportunity through diplomacy to resolve the conflict with Iran that would foreclose them acquiring a nuclear weapon and continuing to be the largest state sponsor of terrorism. I agree with Newt. It is worth a try.
Americans support President Trump’s efforts to make peace while containing the Iranian dictatorship and blocking it from nuclear weapons. Vice President J D Vance’s report from Switzerland on progress in dealing with the Iranian religious dictatorship has been well received by most Americans. A series of polls indicate strong support for President Trump’s position. Napolitan reported that 58% think the agreement is good for the United States and only 20% think it is bad. Quantum reported a 56% approval to 13% disapproval of the deal as outlined. Fabrizio had a series of important reports. By 67-26 they report the American people favor the agreement. According to Fabrizio 51% believe the deal will help the economy while only 12 % think it will be worse. On inflation and affordability the numbers are not as strong as Fabrizio reports 43% think it will get better but 16% think it will get worse. On gasoline prices people are more optimistic with 67% thinking they will get better and only 9% think they will get worse. After a long stretch of attacks from both the right and left, from the so called foreign policy experts and the liberal media, the American people have concluded that progress is being made and things will get better. President Trump showed great endurance in going through the kabuki theater of dealing with an opponent which is religiously motivated, has been bitterly anti-American for 47 years and finds it hard to even talk with us. The persistence of Vice President J D Vance and special envoys Witkoff and Kushner in long trips filled with frustration has paid off. No one should be in doubt. This is the beginning of a long road of managing a challenging often hostile and very often deceitful country which has had almost five decades of trying to hurt America and ultimately destroy it. It is possible that President Trump’s combination of military, economic, financial, and diplomatic efforts have led to a profound change in how the Iranian dictatorship has to think about the world. In Churchill’s phrase this is not the beginning of the end but it is the end of the beginning. Now we have to design a management system that monitors, investigates, sanctions when necessary and ensures the compliance of the Iranian dictatorship for as long as it is in power. This is an enormous step but it is the beginning not the end.

Seldom does a state have two great choices. South Carolina did. Congratulations to @AGAlanWilson on winning the Republican nomination for Governor of South Carolina. Alan, his wife Jennifer and their two children, Michael and Anna Grace, and Alan’s wonderful parents @RepJoeWilson and Roxanne Wilson have so much to be proud of. It was a hard fought race demonstrating South Carolina’s deep, solid Red bench. Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette made an impressive effort that reflects well on South Carolina. Now that the primary is over, South Carolina Republicans will unite and look ahead to the general, standing up to woke, radical nonsense from the Left. Congratulations to Alan once again. On to November!

A Biden-appointed far-left activist judge, Sparkle Sooknanan, is blocking DHS from ensuring that only American citizens vote in our elections. This is madness. Election security and integrity must remain a national priority. That’s why Senator Blackburn and I introduced the Election Security Partnership Act which would incentivize states to submit their voter registration lists to the DHS SAVE program to identify illegal aliens and other non-citizens listed on state voter rolls. And when I’m Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I will be laser-focused on confirming President Trump’s judicial nominees. The security of our elections can’t be at the mercy of far-left activist judges!

It’s been 13 months without a SINGLE illegal alien released into the country. That’s a good return on investment for hardworking, taxpaying Americans. I led the charge in the Senate to secure $70 billion in funding for ICE and Border Patrol so that President Trump has the tools he needs to keep up this flawless record. No more Biden open border INVASION !
RECORD HIGH DEPORTATIONS. ⚠️WARNING: If you are here illegally, LEAVE NOW or we will arrest and deport you. ⚠️

Very sad to hear of the passing of former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. My condolences to Andrea, Alan’s family and legions of friends. Alan was one of the most impactful voices on the American economy. He was right far more often than he was wrong, but accepted criticism when warranted. Guiding fiscal policy for decades and serving under many presidents, he had a life full of accomplishment and making a difference. Also, during his day, he was a damn good tennis player. Rest in peace my friend.
Alan Greenspan, an economist who served as chairman of the Federal Reserve under four U.S. presidents, died at his home on Monday due to complications of Parkinson's, his wife Andrea Mitchell said. He was 100. Greenspan was appointed Fed chair in 1987 by President Reagan, a role he held under three other presidents: George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. cbsn.ws/4vliPQJ

If you’re looking for a U.S. Senator who understands the real nature of the Iranian regime and the way forward for the United States, this is a must-watch interview. Simply put Senator @TimSheehyMT nailed it when he said the goal of the Iranian theocracy is to create a master religion for the world. As Senator Sheehy said, this isn’t what he thinks, it’s what Iran believes and they are acting on those beliefs every day. Tim is a former Navy Seal and knows the dynamics in the region as well as anyone I’ve ever met. Great interview. Very much worth watching.

Totally agree Bernie. This is a big deal for both nations.
I just spoke to @ABDELAESPRIELLA and congratulated him on an historic victory to become the next president of Colombia! The people of Colombia have spoken and the institutions charged with conducting this election did it impeccably and in a world class fashion. In fact, we have a lot to learn on how to have secure elections and, at a later date, will ask Colombian officials to brief the US Congress on their process. Abelardo is a strong leader, a fighter, and someone who loves his country. I know he will work tirelessly to make Colombia safe, strong, and successful again. He will be the President for all Colombians. For two centuries the United States and Colombia have had an incredible, unbreakable alliance. Together, we will defeat the cartels, fight transnational crime, stop illegal migration, expand trade, and bring more opportunity and prosperity to both of our nations. This is a new chapter for Colombia. Now is the time for unity, calm, confidence, and moving the country to a bright future. I look forward to working closely with my friend, president-elect Abelardo de la Espriella, to achieve great things together.

Spot on, Mr. President. To say nothing has changed after Operations Midnight Hammer and Epic Fury is an insult to our men and women in uniform. To say nothing has changed denies the devastation to the Iranian economy created by the blockade and other economic pressures applied by President Trump. This analysis by the New York Times says more about their bias against President Trump than it does the undeniable facts about the state of play in Iran.

Totally agree with this analysis.
This is a game-changing announcement by the President as it relates to his policies towards Iran— if Hezbollah strikes, the President is now vowing he will hold Iran responsible and will hit them in return.
