Don't worry about your idea being "stolen"
I started a few weeks ago and until today i still couldn't launch a production ready product. It's really about the execution.
For me, i'm distracted and spread myself too thin over multiple "MVPs" and kept optimizing my tools / workflow usage.
I stare at stats more than my code because it's fun, help , i'm hopeless 😂

I started building 10 years ago and only 1 website has visitors. I was reluctant to monetize it and was building what i wanted and not what users wanted. Over many years, most projects failed.
I got lay off from my short 1 year tech job (my first job) , totally unexpected , everyone thought that i would be last to be laid off. It hurt really bad but that was a really good wake up call.
It takes time to build without AI until recently. I still feel like a failure yesterday but what's changed today is me subscribing to X Premium as i'm looking to help and connect with creators to share my knowledge on SEO.
I just started DAY 1 here today on X , I'm working on a MVP and would love to have people test the product out, lets connect 😆

I gave up on them when they started nerfing months ago but kept quiet and lied about it until it became unusable for awhile.
After which people left for windsurf and other tools and they are back at cursor now because windsurf no longer have sonnet

I've tried Gemini cli & I'm back to Claude Code for stability. I think the future will be one where we customize tools for our own use.
E.g. I'm currently modifying gemini cli to support deepseek R1 using Claude Code.

For many years , i did not charge and provided free data , you guys here in build in public encouraged me to build a SAAS and that's what i did.
I literally improved my niche site by adding a advance search filter and limiting the pagination to 3 pages(free) 😂
This just shows that there's just so much i don't know about user behaviour and my product.
I cant wait to release my first build in public product , free for you guys here 💟 , back to building got to focus , this community is too addictive to read.

Is it fair for a friend to ask for 15% of your revenue because he shared an idea in a discussion, I got slapped with it from a casual idea discussion.
The conversation ended where he reminded me about the 15%. Now i feel guilty building it and it feels like I signed a non disclosure.

Feedback Required
As a builder, I generally have a list of "competitors/inspirations" whom i want to monitor or it could just be an idea to check for potential. Such setup generally come with multiple source url and competitor list.
If i already have a project in production , generally the source is the project itself with multiple competitor urls to monitor.
My Priority 1
Top pages of competitor is what i'm mainly looking at , followed by keyword research. From SEO Perspective, it's easier to rank if you write or publish about things people search for. (Cost $400+/mth on popular providers)
My Priority 2
Site Audit / Monitor - I vibe code so much more now and it tend to break(ld+json , canonical etc) pages without me knowing, a constant scanner is bonus.
My Priority 3
SERP Rank - Long term game, it's good to know how you're doing and new "competition". Ignore it too long and you will struggle to rank back higher over time.
There are really so many things around SEO , e.g. monitoring what people searched for to reach your page (Google Search Console) the past 24 hours.
What do you need and what do you want? Please share it with me via comments / DMs. I would 100% try build one that is suitable for us and in return, not profit from your usage 😀

Deepseek R1 0528 (Upgraded) , it got an update instead of a new R2 version release. Deepseek models are especially good at frontend development.

Would you allow bots to take your content? It's a mixed feeling for me , on one hand , google ai overview reduce traffic to website.
On the other hand , i do want to appear on AI prompts when people search about my products.

If your product depends on traffic from search engine. You should watch this. I guaranteed your heart beat will go straight up.
For context, cloudflare route most of the traffic online and they see everything. Matthew did an analytic and found out the PAST 6 MONTHS, is tougher than the past 10 years (if you launched a website - in terms of getting traffic).

$1000 on Anthropic APIs (Claude 4.0)
I went from Cursor > Windsurf > Augment > Claude Code / Gemini Cli
I must say , i've tested more than those mentioned and as each platform finish burning VC's money, performance degrade. With exception for Augment which has the best context engine but in the process of collapsing.
What i've learnt so far
- Claude Code is a swiss army tool , you can use it literally in almost any way.
Example, dump research to it and get it to insert directly into your database without an API.
- The best free tool is gemini cli , and give it a few more weeks, you will see it perform better. Just like how claude code first started, it's filled with issues.
- Claude Opus is best at complex structure , it's best for planning (Plan Mode) followed by Sonnet 4.0 in implementing the plan.
- The way i structure my projects is changing , my frontend and backend are both in 1 folder. It's not normal at all but it saves you time when you need Claude Opus to have a zoomed out view of the whole business structure.
Now that i've spent "$1000" , I better release a product by 1st July 2025 😂
Great weekend indeed, never felt so productive ever.
