So high risk folks are just expected to what, stay home forever (not possible for many), constantly negotiate (often unsuccessfully) to exist in public spaces like everyone else, and bear the burden in protecting ourselves & others, right?
We're not exactly people in your eyes
COVID-19 remains a real threat for high risk folks
Keeping up with vaccines, getting treated when infected is how we manage that risk
This new guidance, aligned with that of the flu,
Acknowledges the burdens and benefits of isolation
And that makes for good guidance
