While it may be profitable in the short term, I've lost my unwavering bullishness on Bitmap : A single point of failure emerged overnight due to greed and a lack of basic asset protection knowledge. I'm also a bit troubled to see that much usually sound influential/respected voices promoting it globally, onboarding uneducated participants who are unaware that it essentially turns their back on what makes Bitcoin powerful. Now, 15% of bitmaps (and other assets) are at risk. Protocol abuse, inside jobs, or "mistakes but we are sorry" events could occur. To #Bitmap holders, This isn't a post I enjoy writing, not one bit. I haven't been active in the community, at least not publicly, for some time. Lately, though, I felt compelled to address a couple of issues. Firstly, there are several reasons for my decreased activity within the Bitmap community: - I have a profound love for Bitcoin's artistic ecosystem and chose to concentrate on collecting art and assisting/supporting artists whenever possible; - I believe in the capabilities of many individuals building on Bitmap and trust they would continue to advance the space; - I was deeply disappointed by how quickly many holders (some with influence) embraced Merlin, putting 25% of the supply at risk and effectively degrading their valuable Bitmaps into shitcoins; - Additionally, I was repulsed by El Prof's unethical and irresponsible use of his influence. My intention here isn't to tear him down but to lift others up. It's everyone's prerogative to follow any "leaders", delegating decisions to others and hoping for the best. Many initially trusted El Prof because of his helpfulness to many. However, he began making ridiculus fomo inducing calls, both publicly and privately, without any semblance of due diligence, which was a major red flag. He was putting other people moneys at risk badly. I attempted to steer him towards a better path, but he persisted, making nonsensical financial projections and unfulfilled promises, such as trying to get people to delist it's "activator" as it's would be worth 1000x (650$ mint at this time, do the maths) and promising a forthcoming PFP drop for holders which never happened. He even formed one of the worst alpha group I've ever seen to provide "utility" to holders. But all he did is once more putting people's money at risk. Despite receiving a significant upfront funding for "development" several months ago, he went silent and failed to deliver anything substantial. When holders requested updates, all he shared were two AI-generated images, while flashing his wallet or latest expensive PFP he collected. Follow the money, and you might uncover interesting insights. His behavior has only added to the drama, creating friction instead of contributing positively to the community. He build walls instead of bridges. Obviously you're free to follow anyone, but be prepared for the consequences of your choices. El Prof has demonstrated how little he cares about the significant financial risks you've taken based on his assets and calls, boasting about wins when everything was going up. And you know what? The #bitmap ecosystem boasts numerous capable and ethical builders. I've personally chosen to disengage from anything associated with El Prof and focus on individuals and projects worth my time and limited energy. As for who they are? I'm not a fan of lists, but some builders/projects I'd recommend looking into include: @InscribedSpace @IMSOnft_Chris @FoxxiOfficial @bitmapcommunity @BitmapEmpires @mscribeio @TheBlockRunner @xSPECTAR @BmetaYachts Etc. I wish everyone would understand that you vote with your money in such decentralized ecosystem. If you support shitfluencers, we will get more shitfluencers. If you support capable people, well you get the point, right ?

I can feel a decent level of insecurity coming from some people within the #bitmap community. Many feels that all these new DMT related assets coming out are diluting the attention / value, but they forget what makes bitmap the "best" asset out there : it's simple, it's a base layer, and it's what the fuck anyone want it to be. But let's zoom out a bit. Nobody and everybody owns block data : it's all about imaginary games trying to establish themselves as "the" standard. Reality is, be it with bitmap, bitnat, Nats or else, you just own an inscription representing this imaginary ownership, an entry ticket to a consensus based wanna be standard, yet anyone can claim, revisit or just deny such ownership as they please. On Bitcoin, you do what the fuck you want to do, miners processes or not your transactions, and that's it. It's permissionless. Fighting over who's "right" is worthless, it's trying to contain a tide with a plastic spoon. Turning this into "bitmap vs DMTs" is a lose-lose approach, as it is self-destructive and creates frictions. Bitmap is, so far, the only DMT related "standard" adopted widely. So widely that we've seen countless iterations on other chain. It's a very simple base layer allowing the integration of shitload of new ideas / concepts / tools. I'd guess that 99%+ of DMT assets / concepts come from bitmap participants, and I'd guess that 100% of these assets / concepts can be integrated to bitmap, improving a lot it's long term potential (snd for me, it's appeal). Bitmap participants spent the last few months trying to figure it out, everyone trying to understand and leverage / uses block datas. And now the same people would feel threatened because one of the core idea allowing shitload of cool stuff on bitmap is being developed as standalones ? It's decentralization, guys. You adopt or not an idea, you uses or not a tool, and that's it. It's not one against the other : that is the way of centralization and echo chambers. Let's embrace the chaos. Don't fight ideas : try to figure if these ideas are interesting, and if so, go back to work and be the first to figure out how to integrate within your bitmap related product. Many are already on it. If you don't like the idea ? Ignore and move on. Anything else would just makes bitmap bleeds, as such antagonistic narrative (us against them) would basically say fuck off to long term bitmap builders, long term bitmap supporters and contributors. You would ask them to take a side, and attack them if it's not "your side". But hey, you do wtf you want to do. I’m convinced that many of those who follow me don’t know what #bitmap is or why it’s one of the only "non-art" assets that holds long-term value for me. Bitmap represents the imaginary and consensual ownership of a #bitcoin block and the data it contains. It’s essentially an #ordinal inscription on Bitcoin, consisting of the block number followed by .bitmap. Every 10 minutes on average, a new block (for example, #800,000) is created, and the first to inscribe "800000.bitmap", becomes the owner of an indexed and validated bitmap. So, what can you do with this inscription? This is where things get interesting, and I’ll use the analogy of how we localize places with addresses. It’s a consensual system where numbers and/or letters are associated with physical locations. Your home address is just that—numbers and/or letters. But when you own the property tied to that address, you gain the ability to do many things, depending on the type of land, location, and applicable regulations. You could dig for gold, build a house, start a business, or create a garden. You could rent it, or maybe even divide it and sell / rent it as parcels Bitmap, in essence, is the imaginary ownership of a block and the data it contains, and that’s the only definition that is universally accepted. Beyond that, anyone can do whatever they want with this imaginary property. Here, games, 3D environments, art, and above all, new ideas emerge and constantly evolve. Bitmap doesn’t have a user manual or an imposed code, meaning you must gain consensus—or at least strong support—to move forward with a structuring idea. Bitmap is the closest thing to a decentralized autonomous organization (Linux-style), and that’s one of the main reasons I’m so bullish on this ecosystem. No CEO or developer can destroy it in an instant. Bitmap is Bitcoin: consensus-based, censorship-resistant, and immutable. Your .com addresses are abstractions, yet fortunes have been spent acquiring bitcoin.com, sports.com, etc. Bitmap is the same thing—an imaginary, theoretical property. Today I got my way back to owning 2000 bitmaps. I hope you guys at least take the time to dig a bit and try to get the opportunity here. I'm not the one wanting to influence others much when it comes to financial decisions. But yet bitmap is one of the very very few asset I'm overly confident to present out there, because it's not depending on one person, or a group of persons. Do you own research, not financial advice. Starting today, I’m launching a 33-day creative marathon. Every day, I’ll create unique, one-of-a-kind AI pieces based on 33 images I’ve crafted over the past two years. I’m keeping most of the details under wraps for now to keep things a surprise—but I can promise it’ll be intense!
