🇨🇦 "Two years ago, the government was trying to shut this industry down." @Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel says Canada has turned a corner—and believes the country's oil and gas industry is poised for a comeback. He explains why Canadian energy has become a strategic advantage, why Europe and the U.S. need reliable Canadian supply, and why he believes the industry has a much bigger role to play in an increasingly uncertain world. Greg Ebel, CEO of Enbridge, reiterates why 🇨🇦 energy companies are so hesitant about investing here & where they are putting their $. 1⃣ The “lost Liberal decade” & changing geopolitics has left 🇨🇦 in the lurch. We either run or get run over (on energy production). 2⃣ The 🇺🇸 is the greatest capital market in the world. Enbridge has $40 billion worth of current projects with the majority going there. 3⃣ 🇨🇦 energy companies won’t commit capital until Carney overhauls the regulatory, taxation & approval environment. 4⃣ The energy sector set $100 of millions on fire trying to get approvals under Trudeau. Until there’s certainty, they’re not doing it again. Credit: @inthemoneypod

Canadians support Mark Carney’s management of the economy, even though he’s presided over the worst first year of growth for a prime minister since at least 1963, a poll showed. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

UNBELIEVABLE: Elbows Up @MarkJCarney fails to show to defend Canada.
An absolute indictment of incompetence or willful negligence in the most important negotiation Canada has with the United States. After promising to stand up for Canadian workers affected by U.S. tariffs, Prime Minister @MarkJCarney’s Liberals DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER SHOWING UP to make Canada’s case against forced labour tariffs at U.S. tariff hearings. After failing to get the deal he promised, he refused to send a representative to fight to protect Canada at the U.S. Trade Representative hearings. Instead, he filed a two-page submission the day before the hearing and left a key question blank on stacking new duties onto existing tariffs. At a time when CUSMA negotiations are tumultuous, Mexico sent its Economy Minister to fight for their workers, while the Carney Liberals only sent incomplete paperwork. This, while “The people who pay for Canada’s absence were not in the room either. They are the autoworker whose plant went quiet. The steelworker whose shift was cut, the millwright in a town where the mill was the town, and then it wasn’t.” thestar.com/opinion/contribu…

Oh my! Whatever will I buy with my Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit (CGEB)? I considered perhaps a radish for my husband and I to share.

A defiant loss for the region. Like Rob I had the pleasure of being interviewed numerous times on this talk radio station. Sad to lose this voice for our region.
For more than 20 years, News 95.7 offered an alternate news, information and sports offering to Nova Scotians. I enjoyed having the opportunity to speak with hosts, producers and staff over the years. So sorry to hear the news of our Rogers station in Halifax, and others across Canada, closing.

I know Carney and Jamie Dimon didn’t get along, but what is this and how did the reporters gain this insight? ‘. “It brought to power Carney, a former central banker who had spent the years after the 2008-09 financial crisis formulating a thesis that the West was overreliant on a single, increasingly unpredictable country. As prime minister, he was able to start acting on his theory.’ Where did he form this thesis? While he was overlooking the HSBC cartel-Iran-China money laundering crisis at Bank of England? Or while securing Bank of China bailouts and green deals from China for Brookfield? Is this really his view? (US a disruptive power, China/Davos the multilateral solution) If so his constant dealings with CCP banker Jin Liqun and CCP koolaid drinker Dominic Barton and this kind of person in Ottawa and Montreal should be looked into with a lot more clarity by @csiscanada because it strikes of UFWD globalist elite capture … alternatively it’s the usual BS revisionist narrative fed to reporters by PMO staffers.
Replying to @Dennismolin11
From WSJ: "The reporting reveals the important role of Canada in molding the allied consensus on how to deal with the new Washington. Trump’s threats to make his northern neighbor America’s 51st state lighted a fuse of unintended consequences that continues to burn. It brought to power Carney, a former central banker who had spent the years after the 2008-09 financial crisis formulating a thesis that the West was overreliant on a single, increasingly unpredictable country. As prime minister, he was able to start acting on his theory. With only a few allies at first—particularly France—Carney worked to persuade his fellow leaders that they faced a structural dependency that couldn’t be solved by appeasing Trump"

So, within his first year... Mark Carney has: -cut one tax bracket by one point, $35 a month -killed the carbon tax his own party spent ten years defending -"reduced" gas taxes until Labour Day, then they're back -scrapped an EV mandate his own party wrote -"started" a pipeline he hasn't approved, submitted to his own office -hit 2% by relabeling $10 billion that was already being spent Read the list again. Every item is Poilievre's platform. Every single one. Liberals called it reckless for ten years, then ran on it and won. "Best PM ever" for finally admitting Pierre was right? Fixed it!!!
So, within his first year... Mark Carney has: -lowered income tax -ended the consumer Carbon Tax -reduced federal gas taxes -diversified trade -paused the EV mandate -started the precious pipeline process -increased military spending -invested in the Arctic If Poilievre had of done any of these things, RW Influencers would be celebrating his leadership and telling us "best PM ever." Instead, because it's Carney, all they do is complain, whine, spread misinformation, and make up fake shit to hate on him and his family. It's clear that they don't stand for much of anything other than "own Carney" They call Carney the worst PM ever, but would literally be celebrating Poilievre if he had the exact same list. Amazing.

This stinks so badly it’s unbelievable. Even these idiots can’t explain it. Carney nods like an fool to Eby’s attempts. C’mon Cdns - they’re piddling away billions of our dollars to bail out their rich friends. How can anyone support this stupidity & arrogance?
Dumb & Dumber are still trying to explain their condo bailout. British Columbia Premier David Eby: "When you buy something that's on liquidation, you don't say to yourself "I'm supporting uh a bailout for the store." If we don't do it, someone else will." Yes, that someone else is the private sector and Canadians who want a cheaper house but the government stepping in and creating a floor price and removing supply from the homeownership market. Nevermind that the example he came up with makes no sense but the alarming part is that there are thousands of condo units are in a fire sale. It's a bail out for the financial institutions as well. Who are they?
