I figured I'd post a little bit of my Matrix Resurrections work here.
These were done under the production design of Hugh Bateup and Peter Walpole, and the direction of Lana Wachowski.
These are some designs from IO, including Niobe's keep and the Morpheus shrine.
Hope you enjoy!
I don't think people realize how incredible it is that a movie rendered in nearly real-time in free software on a single computer just won the Oscar for best animated film. If there was ever any proof you don't need AI, this is it.
Flow was made entirely with Blender and rendered in real time with EEVEE. We didn't use a renderfarm. The final render was done on my PC. There was no compositing, all the colors were tweaked and adjusted using shaders.
This is incredible. AI bro makes an awful One Piece image, then tells off an ACTUAL One Piece animator over it. The ego on some of these people is off the charts 🗺️🏴☠️
Jenna Ortega says she deleted her Twitter account after receiving AI-generated explicit images of herself as a child
"It was disgusting"

Duolingo laid off a huge percentage of their contract translators, and the remaining ones are simply reviewing AI translations to make sure they're 'acceptable'. This is the world we're creating. Removing the humanity from how we learn to connect with humanity.
I just cannot make myself code anymore. It feels too slow and requires too much energy. My brain refuses to concentrate and demands using an LLM shortcut. Do you feel something like this?
But hey, at least you can talk to your fake girlfriend and make fake art and read fake posts from fake people on a dead internet that costs increasingly more to engage with while also making you dumber, lonelier, and angrier.
If bills like this pass, it won't be long before it's no longer 'voluntary', and we'll all have to bake in our homes in the summer because AI data centers 'need' the energy instead.
Ohio has introduced a new bill that would allow utility companies to automatically adjust customer thermostats in order to reduce load on the power grid "during periods of high demand".
Expect to see this being rolled out across the entire Western world as the Net Zero agenda's push towards unreliable and intermittent "renewable" energy causes widespread energy shortages in formerly energy secure nations.
Someone decided to steal one of our wonderful paintings from an office filled with technology companies
Think we didn't have cameras?
Does anyone know who this is?
Legitimately offensive, a grotesque bastardization of claymation while spitting in the face of the profound artistry that is The Lord of the Rings. Absolutely cursed.
This is insane. The Taiwanese government is paying farmers to NOT grow rice because they need the water for AI chip manufacturing instead. We're prioritizing AI over feeding people during a drought.
Ubisoft exec needs to get comfortable with people not buying their games. This is anti-consumer propaganda and a way to milk gamers generation after generation.
The fact that OpenAI is making money from this is straight up illegal. This isn't fair use, this isn't "inspiration", this is blatant plagiarism and copyright infringement. A reckoning is coming.
This is the sort of subtle, almost invisible replacement of artists by AI that we've all been worried about. It starts with fewer and fewer calls and emails until the work is just gone entirely. No mass layoffs, no severance, no announcements, just the quiet death of illustration
AI artists are tourists, and even worse, they're the type of tourists who lack respect for the place they're visiting and end up trashing everything while deliberately antagonizing the locals. If fear mongering is your primary conversion tactic, you've already lost.
"How the F*CK does Sora 2 have such a perfect memory of this Cyberpunk side mission."
It's because they've illegally trained on Cyberpunk 2077, hope this helps.
@CDPROJEKTRED
This is legitimately mind-blowing...
How the FUCK does Sora 2 have such a perfect memory of this Cyberpunk side mission that it knows the map location, biome/terrain, vehicle design, voices, and even the name of the gang you're fighting for, all without being prompted for any of those specifics??
Sora basically got two details wrong, which is that the Basilisk tank doesn't have wheels (it hovers) and Panam is inside the tank rather than on the turret. I suppose there's a fair amount of video tutorials for this mission scattered around the internet, but still––it's a SIDE mission!
Nightshade is out!
Nightshade poisons AI models if your art or images are taken without permission, Glaze protects you from AI mimicry. It's recommended you Nightshade first, then Glaze. A version that does both is coming.
Read this thread for more info.
Go get 'em 🫡
Today is the day. Nightshade v1.0 is ready. Performance tuning is done, UI fixes are done.
You can download Nightshade v1.0 from
nightshade.cs.uchicago.edu
Please read the what-is page and also the User's Guide on how to run Nightshade. It is a bit more involved than Glaze
Loving New AI, To be straight up honest I think People Who spend their time learning ART and Creating ART should just quit. AI is the FUTURE and is phenomenal!
Not only was this FREE but no Complaints at all!
I'm an AI artist!
The production company behind ‘BLADE RUNNER 2049’ is suing Elon Musk & Tesla for allegedly feeding images from the movie into an AI generator to create unlicensed promo photos.
Warner Bros is also named for facilitating the partnership.

A lawyer for Microsoft says: "Nobody really wants a data center in their backyard, I don't want a data center in my backyard.... Data centers, once they're operational, don't bring a lot of jobs."
Corporate whistleblowers from companies with government contracts are dying at an alarming rate in this country, do people really think this is normal?
Here's a thought: If generative AI can't be developed without violating the rights of hundreds of millions of people, maybe you don't get to have it? Crazy, I know.
They generated 70,000 clips to be able to cobble together 52 of them. They need basically the entirety of humanity's creative output to essentially sling slop at the wall and see what you're willing to choke down. Creatively bereft, legally dangerous, and morally bankrupt.
The Coca-Cola Christmas ad, made with AI, used at least eight AI models known to be trained on copyrighted work without permission.
This is a huge middle finger to the artists whose work these models exploit, at scale, for huge commercial gain.
cc @CocaCola
This is wild. Not only is Air Canada being forced to honor a refund invented by its AI chatbot, but they tried to get out of it by claiming the bot is "responsible for its own actions." Everyone wants AI, but no one wants to be responsible for it.

"Now anybody can become a YouTuber."
That's literally always been the case, and practically the entire appeal of YouTube. All you need is a phone and an internet connection.
Google fast tracking the dead internet theory right here, f*cking unreal.
Google just unveiled VLOGGER, a tool that generates lifelike talking videos with a single photo
Now, anybody can become a YouTuber.
Here's what you need to know:
A perfect example of how AI strips things of any kind of personality or artistry. It's like having a slider on how generic and watered down you want your slop.
i think some of you are ghibli posers
because there’s a whole plot point in the latest movie about a kingdom of mindless parrots who only consume slop
and nobody’s even mentioned it
AI being used by the government to manufacture fake support for ICE.
This is how AI will be used to control and manipulate people. Buckle up and stay informed.
It's getting harder and harder to hold back my abject f*cking rage at all the flagrant, joyous theft going on right in front of our faces. How are these genAI companies not considered criminal enterprises? Just think about it for a second. It's f*cking insane what they're doing.
Leave it to capitalism to try and get people to work for the last 6-8 hours they truly have to themselves.
I'm all for lucid dreaming, but this sounds like some kind of fresh hell.
Nicki Minaj openly mocking artists over her low rent, exploitative AI marketing. What a genius branding decision from one of the richest stars on the planet. It's all about funneling money up to the top, make no mistake about it.
Ubisoft literally conducting layoffs this year and last month, and they're posting AI art. Unbelievable.
What the hell is the game industry doing right now.
I got blocked for this comment. No regrets.
Don't let these people justify theft by using marginalized or disabled people as a shield. Deplorable behavior, call it out every time.
In the past few days, Wizards of the Coast was caught using AI on ad campaign pieces after saying they wouldn't. Wacom got caught as well and deleted, which is crazy considering their products, and looks like Apex Legends too. Jobs are going in real time, makes me nauseous.
As an artist, I think the most frustrating thing about AI discourse is that the vast majority of people arguing with you aren't artists, yet they'll tell you what defines art, how the industry works, how you should 'adapt', and what the optimal future of creativity looks like.
This essay on AI is almost cathartic in the way that it captures and confirms so eloquently how so many of us feel. I think Mr. Chiang has gifted us with something that will be referenced and talked about for a long time. Send it to everyone you know.
Watch this OpenAI thief squirm when questioned about data. They KNOW they're stealing, look at her face and how she dodges the question. "Publicly available" doesn't mean you have a license, they're nothing more than common criminals. Sue them into oblivion.
The disclaimer on the Github says this is designed to help 'future AI systems to better meet the real needs of human artists.'
What human artist would need to generate fake process on a completed image? This is a tool for scamming, plain and simple.
If Gen AI was a tool designed for artists then why would an artist ever need videos of a timelapse?
This is just further cementing that Gen AI is being built as tools to deceive and scam.
BREAKING: The U.S. government is suing Adobe.
It's accusing the company of harming consumers by enrolling them in the most expensive subscription plans without clearly disclosing the huge early termination fees — fees that can reach hundreds of dollars.
In regards to AI being theft, @Asmongold goes silent and fumbles after being told AI was trained to remove watermarks, then doubles down and says, "Nobody cares... You still have to have other people care about it in order for it to be true." I swear he has frontal lobe damage.
I'm tired of having to prove to people that generative AI systems infringe by default, so here's a megathread of images I've prompted you can use in your discussions.
Article by @GaryMarcus and myself at the end. 1/🧵
"But artists could use AI better than anyone!"
And Gordon Ramsay could probably run a better hot dog cart at the state fair than anyone, it misses the point.
Not one person asked artists if we wanted this, and now they're trying to pressure us into using it. It's just gross.
Have you ever wanted to pretend you're painting, but don't want to learn anything about it, or do any real work? Have you ever wanted to sabotage your own creativity and growth? Look no further!
Apparently using the term "AI" in marketing makes people LESS likely to make a purchase.
Just like crypto and NFTs before it, AI is now a dirty word that the average consumer wants to steer clear of. Congrats big tech, you did it again.

"You can have done in a week what would take 10 guys 10 weeks."
For someone whose filmography relies heavily on artists and visual effects work, this is beyond disappointing. Hollywood legends are so eager to throw the workers who bring their visions to life under the bus.
Ridley Scott says he's 'trying to embrace AI'
He wants to use it for animation and says 'you can have done in a week what would take 10 guys 10 weeks'

DeviantArt bragging over how much AI garbage one of their users has sold. They have almost 3 THOUSAND images on their account in just over a year.
Just like ArtStation, dA has completely turned their back on artists.
Enjoy your class action suit, dA, you're dead to me.

There it is, I downloaded blender, followed a simple tutorial and did this in less than 2 hours. Stop with your AI bullshit. You have the tools to make it, and call it your own.
@IsThisA3DModel Thank you for inspiring me. I will be making a model a day from now on :)
Artist at San Diego Comic Con booted for selling AI art. It's great to see SDCC taking some kind of stance here and supporting actual artists and their work. Thanks to @JonLamArt for the update.
Well, that didn't take long. Every time you talk about layoffs related to AI, someone shows up to excitedly explain to you why it's a net gain for humanity. That is until it's their job of course.
For those who still need to hear it:
Being inspired by something you saw and processed via ocular meatballs and grey matter isn't the same as downloading a bunch of other people's images off the internet and compressing them into an AI model for profit.
ChatGPT has only been here for 18 months and people suddenly can't get work done when it goes down? It's a chatbot, not a power outage.
People's skills are atrophying in real time thanks to AI, and they're happy to broadcast it. What a world.

So not only do they need copyrighted material for their technology to function, but energy demands are getting so high (think small country), they also need a nuclear fusion breakthrough to sustain it. The whole thing is such a joke.

Just a reminder that the chief AI scientist at Meta not only thinks authors should provide their works for free, but he and Meta will just pirate them anyway and claim fair use. This isn't an obvious agenda at all...

Only a small number of book authors make significant money from book sales.
This seems to suggest that most books should be freely available for download.
The lost revenue for authors would be small, and the benefits to society large by comparison.
Indonesia is getting hit hard with AI right now. In schools, commercially, and in their presidential campaigns of all things. Artists and illustrators there are trying to band together to educate people about copyright and demand fair regulation. It's badly needed. #TolakGambarAI

Midjourney has now restricted access to their Google doc that showed a massive list of nearly 5,000 artists they scraped or intended to. And this is after a chat was outed between two MJ employees and a Stability employee discussing laundering data and destruction of evidence.
