Mark Carney is good at this, it seems.
Just finished a positive first meeting with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney. We spoke at length about the policies and legislation that are holding back Albertaโ€™s economy, and specific proposals for projects and legislative reforms that will significantly increase market access for Alberta oil and gas, agricultural products and other goods. The Prime Minister made it clear he intended to rapidly advance these kinds of nation building projects in the coming weeks and months. ย We also discussed our ongoing trade dispute with the United States and how the federal government can work cooperatively with our province to advance both Canadaโ€™s and Albertaโ€™s interests. ย  Repairing the damage to Albertaโ€™s economy caused by Ottawaโ€™s last 10-years of anti-resource legislation and policies will take tremendous effort and cooperation, however, todayโ€™s conversation was a positive first step.

Conservatives never beating the 'want to be American,' allegations.
I'm developing a deep disdain for Canadians and Canada as a country. I don't think Canada can be saved or even deserves to be saved. There's a small contingent of us who know what's really going on, and that group is going to have some tough decisions to make next week. Liberal boomers want to maintain Canada in the decrepit state it's currently in because they've benefited greatly from inflation and astronomical housing prices. They've proven to be the most selfish and disgusting members of our society. Millenials and Gen Xrs have been expected to carry the financial burden for these people, and we've reached a point where we're being pushed into bankruptcy for the sake of a fantasy world liberal boomers want to live in. Most of us are at the edge of insolvency. We're being crushed under the weight of taxes and an unsustainable cost of living. Yet our generations aren't motivated to actually fix this country because we understand how cumbersome that job will be and none of us have the time or energy to do it. We're too busy gasping for air as we slowly drown in destitution. I never thought I'd see my country in this state, and I'm almost positive it will continue because we're at the mercy of 60 year old children who never grew up. Get out and vote on Monday. Pierre Poilievre isn't perfect but he's our only option. This is the end of the line for us. If we end up with a Carney Liberal government the pain will be intolerable in the coming months and years. And if we lose this fight, we will have to seriously consider whether a future as Canadians is even possible. A mass migration south might be the only solution.
