Following the resounding success of the 22nd annual Porcupine Freedom Festival this summer, the Free State Project is excited to announce that we are actively planning for PorcFest 2026 and beyond, as we seek a new home for our beloved event.
For two decades, Roger’s Campground has been the heart of PorcFest, hosting unforgettable moments and fostering a vibrant community of liberty lovers.
This year, we welcomed 1,500 libertarians—young and old—from New Hampshire and across the globe, a testament to the festival’s growth from its humble beginnings.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the campground’s ownership and management for their partnership over the years.
While we will not be returning to Roger’s Campground in 2026, we see this as an exciting opportunity to reimagine PorcFest’s future that is able to meet the festivals expansion requirements and standards.
The Free State Project is launching a comprehensive site selection process to find a new venue that will elevate the festival experience and accommodate our growing community.
We are committed to ensuring PorcFest remains a cornerstone of the liberty movement in New Hampshire for generations to come.
We invite all PorcFest enthusiasts to share their ideas for potential venues, whether short-term solutions for 2026 or long-term homes for the festival.
Please send your suggestions to PorcFest@FSP.org, keeping in mind the unique spatial and logistical needs of our event.
Together, we will build an even brighter future for PorcFest, continuing to unite freedom lovers in the Free State of New Hampshire.

I teared up at this. Freeing Ross has been more than a dozen years of work for many activists like me who have been supporting his plight and the efforts of his mother, Lyn from the start.
Little known facts:
The @FreeStateNH was one of the first organizations (if not the first) to platform Lyn. I originally got a lotta shit for supporting a "criminal," but I Honey Badgered that sitch.
I personally spoke to Ross on the phone from prison during Liberty Forum 2016 (he promised to attend on of our events one day--open invitation, obvi).
I've done radio interviews, a Ross-a-thon, blog posts, countless "Free Ross" tweets, sent cards and letters, and done talks where I made the audience cry, to spread the word.
Lyn had a "broken heart attack" years ago because of the strain of fighting to #FreeRoss.
Over the years, because of our large crypto-libertarian community in NH, we've kept Ross's story alive.
During Trump's run in 2016 and 2020, we made questions about Ross a priority. And then we doubled down with help from the LP and @angela4LNCChair in this last race.
Because of NH's FITN primary, over more than a decade, Free Staters would ask candidates stumping about Ross, creating news stories to keep the pressure on.
Every event hosted by the FSP since Ross Ulbricht was arrested and incarcerated has had a "Free Ross" element.
I believed from the start this day would come. And here we are. I appreciate everyone who believed. Everyone who said it IS possible. I know Lyn kept her faith and mine is restored: Thank God when Ross walks free.

Matt Kibbe is President at Free the People, an educational foundation using video storytelling to turn on the next generation to the values of personal liberty and peaceful cooperation. He is also co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a video and strategic communications company. Kibbe is the host of BlazeTV’s Kibbe on Liberty, a popular podcast that insists that you think for yourself.
He was senior advisor for a Rand Paul Presidential Super PAC in 2016, and later co-founded AlternativePAC to promote libertarian values.
In 2004 Kibbe founded FreedomWorks, a national grassroots advocacy organization, and served as President until his departure in 2015.
