In the Kansas Senate hearing, the Kansas Adjutant General used fear of federal retaliation as their entire objection to the DTG bill. Political prognostication of a totally undeterminable decrease in funding is a very weak argument. There is no precedent for or against this.
We have a fighting chance here in #Kansas With the war dumbs beating, media outlets pushing towards US entering the conflict, and obviously the situation in #Ukraine , now is the time to uphold the #constitution and #defenstheguard. Spread the word. Retweet and follow.
The only thing that matters now is avoiding a nuclear war with Russia.
"The single most important issue in the world that faces all of mankind, forever, for the indefinite future, is America's relationship with Russia. Period."

“Former Democratic State Rep. Dale Kobayashi was a sponsor of our Defend the Guard legislation, and vocally supported turning our government’s attention to problems at home for reasons and emergencies just like this.” libertarianinstitute.org/art…
We are fighting for them. We are simply asking Congress follows the constitution and declare war if you want our sons and daughters into combat. #defendtheguard#ksleg and #defendtheconstitution#kansas
The last declaration of war was in the 1940s. Our @congressdotgov for decades have passed the buck to Presidents. Not as intended by the constitution. This #PresidentsDay we should be talking about taking away their power. #defendtheguard#ksleg#kansas
Today we’re proud to announce that @PaulBrounforGA has signed our Congressional War Powers Pledge 🇺🇸
As a four-term Congressman and now candidate in Georgia 10th, Dr. Broun supports a repeal of all AUMFs, opposed intervention in Syria & supported the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Our world, our nation and our state is craving some peace, empathy, compassion and understanding. In light of threatening world events, especially in Ukraine, let's set aside the things that divide us and come together to voice our opposition to war and aggressive force.
The states of Europe have more than enough wealth and military potential to deal with a second-rate power like Russia. The American taxpayers, on the other hand, deserve a break from Europe's grifting. | @ryanmcmakenmises.org/wire/nato-our-inte…
350 members of the Michigan National Guard are being deployed to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for up to a year to support U.S. military missions in Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere.
These wars were never declared by Congress.
We must pass #DefendTheGuard and restore the U.S. Constitution.
@GovLauraKelly. Please. Be the leader that starts a cascade of change to end how the United States fight endless wars with fellow Kansans. Our men and women in uniform should not be sent to battle without a declaration of war from Congress. #DefendTheGuard#ksleg
It seems like a lot of Americans are completely removed from the stakes of a war with Russia. I hear “we can’t let them do this” or “you just want to let them do that.” Understand, this ain’t fuckin Iraq. A war with Russia means the end of human existence.
Government treats the troops like cannon fodder, and the veterans like leftover waste.
How can we help them, and stop government from creating new victims?

How quickly people went from claiming the Azov Battillion were a small, fringe group we shouldn’t be concerned about to literally cheering for them in the streets.
Fucking yikes.

It's reckless pronouncements like this which get American soldiers killed.
Rep. Maria Salazar of Florida says we need a no-fly zone in Ukraine, but admits she doesn't even know what it is.
Don't let bad politicians get us into World War III!

We're at the point where US troops being indefinitely stationed in Syria is just accepted as natural fact, even though virtually no one can explain what the mission is. Kind of like how indefinite US proxy warfare in Ukraine just kind of naturally materialized out of the ether
Keep in mind, this is not just a Kansas cause. Other states are joining or have joined this fight to keep our troops safe from the state using our men and women as pawns in illegal wars. #defendtheguard#constitution#kansas
When I return to the Maine Senate, I intend to sponsor #DefendTheGuard legislation w/ a trigger clause that it will go into effect upon passage in 13 states -- bringing the state national guard home from all undeclared foreign wars.
A lot of the people who mention that 30 yrs of US/NATO expansionist policy is the major driving factor that led to the current war, are accused of spreading “Russian talking points” “apologizing for Putin.” It’s a despicable and dishonest tactic. Never forget the ppl who use it.
America occupied Afghanistan at great cost for 2 decades. In addition to counterterror, a key goal was to promote liberal values. Within 10 days of the American withdrawal the Taliban took over & has reimplemented the burqa. Proponents of the occupation are nowhere to be heard.
Just a year ago, we lost a war against goat herders waving rifles. Members of Congress are now recklessly asserting that we are at war with Russia.
If we are at war, then why not vote on an AUMF?
We are sleepwalking into a war, and the American people are left in the dark.
Gaetz: Biden 'Sleepwalking' America Into War
"We are sleepwalking into a war, and the American people are left in the dark."
Defend the Guard is an initiative to pass law that requires our Kansas National Guard NOT be deployed to combat without a declaration of war from US Congress.
The lack of "Constitutional process" since WWII places the war powers in the hands of one executive. This is not democracy. This becomes a shutting down of the process and starts more of a controlling of the process.

Actually. Being against involving ourselves in somebody else's long standing conflict, does in fact, make you anti-war.
That's the entire fucking point.
Phew. And I woke up this morning thinking there was inflation, war, nuclear threats, and looming global food and energy crisis. But glad to hear it was all a bad dream.
In comments to NBC News, US officials basically admit that the Biden administration is lying to us about Russia’s war in Ukraine

HUNGRY FOR WAR?: Former Green Beret and candidate for Congress @joekent16jan19 questions the motives of politicians and media personalities calling for a no-fly zone over Russia without explaining potential consequences to US citizens.
