On December 15, 2024, representatives of the $Daram Community in the Philippines spearheaded a charitable initiative under the DeCharity Foundation in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. The event delivered essential supplies, including rice, cooking oil, clothing, and other daily necessities, to more than 30 underprivileged families with children.
The initiative was supported by a $500 donation from the DeCharity Foundation, alongside additional contributions from community members who personally funded extra supplies. Together, these efforts provided over $1,500 worth of much-needed resources, offering meaningful relief to the local community.
Beyond the material aid, the event highlighted the power of decentralized charity, a concept championed by the Daram Community and the DeCharity Foundation. This approach combines blockchain innovation with philanthropy, fostering transparency and uniting global communities to create real-world impact.
The Daram Community reaffirmed its dedication to expanding charitable efforts in the Philippines, with plans to organize more events to support vulnerable families and communities in the future.
