Take steps to protect your pets in this extreme heat! 🐶
Pennsylvania Libre’s Law (Act 10 of 2017) strengthened the state’s animal cruelty laws to better protect our pets.
State Law requires:
🐾 Dogs tethered outdoors must have access to water and shade.
🐾 Limits tethering to 30 minutes when temperatures reach 90°F or higher
🐾 Law enforcement can rescue pets left in dangerously hot vehicles.
Remember, animal neglect can result in fines, criminal charges, animal forfeiture, and even jail time.
Please be mindful of the heat index and its impact on our furry friends.
