The best part is that 10+ of these students (non-wrestlers) stayed after the games to help turn the gym around for our wrestling tournament tomorrow.
These students aren’t successful by chance - it’s the little things and the team mentality.

After winning the 3A Coach of the Year, he was nominated by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches and Iowa High School Athletic Association and was selected.

This is an incredible story! Two season-ending injuries the last 2 football seasons requiring surgery both times at this same stadium and he turns around and wins the 400m hurdles before he graduates.
Very, very few kids could do this and Reece deserves this!
A remarkable comeback story gets better for Reece Thoreson of @PellaDutchXC. At the same stadium he severely injured his knee twice in football, he has qualified for state in the 400 hurdles in his 4th time running it this season. Gage with a strong 2nd place. #iahstrk

Win number one in the books for head coach Blaine Forsythe. Sophomore Kennedy Van Vark had herself a night, finishing with 27 points while Anna Vander Waal had 12 points and Anna Childerston added 11 points.
