🔬#OslerResearch
Osler made the very difficult decision to formally initiate a Code Orange (Stage 2). This is due to an increase in COVID-19 patient volumes across Osler and staffing challenges that have affected our capacity.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of an Osler team member due to #COVID19.
We are heartbroken by the news and share our deepest condolences with his family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
When Brampton Civic opened in 2007, the Emergency Department was named after Guru Nanak Dev Ji, recognizing the contributions of our local Sikh community.
Today, on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday, we revealed the rendering of a new sign bearing his name to show our appreciation.
Special arrival from the East Coast 🇨🇦
We’re extending a heartfelt welcome to the highly-skilled nurses and physicians who arrived today and last week from Newfoundland & Labrador to assist with our current capacity needs due to #COVID19.
We're so grateful for their dedication.
After a 5-month long search, we are thrilled to announce that long-time Osler physician and leader, Dr. Naveed Mohammad, has been named our new President and Chief Executive Officer. Join us in congratulating @naveedm21!
We’re pleased to share there are no COVID-19 patients in our ICU’s – a first since March. Thank you to our clinical teams for their hard work and dedication, and to our community for their ongoing support. We couldn’t reach this milestone without you.
Congratulations! Two of our physicians were recognized recently for their incredible work in Palliative Care.
@NaheedD received @uoftmedicine's 2020 Humanitarian Award.
@AmitAryaMD received an Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility from @UofTFamilyMed

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time our nurses have done this! This past weekend some of our nurses jumped into action at the Etobicoke Assessment Centre when a patient's car wouldn't start to allow the flow of cars to continue.
Now this is what we call Going Beyond.
