APAC improved recently from having international import players joining the region and having scrims/rlcs matches with the actual apac players which raised their level as a region. But SSA seem extremely hostile to any imports coming in even threatening to blacklist them from scrims if they join. This should be evident because the 2 newer regions challenging the most rn are MENA and SAM where they get consistent practice vs EU and NA players due to their location. That means the only way SSA will actually ever challenge is with imports raising the level of consistently available practice in scrims and regional rlcs matches. It doesn’t feel like playing in a few series at majors each year is going to improve the region at a rate that is going to result in anything significant in the next few years, which should be the goal. It’s not that I don’t think regions should all have atleast 1 major spot but until I see SSA not start crying about potential import players and taking the same open minded approach that APAC took, SSA frankly doesn’t deserve the spot yet because they don’t see the bigger picture. You can also look at what players like Realize said about how much he learnt from Virt and Kami this season and it paid off massively for him individually as a player. If I have missed the point here then lmk why…
Worlds and gamers8 are not enough. The players from limitless talked about this on rizzos stream. Going into this worlds they said that last years was no help for them. It had been too long since they saw international competition. APAC has improved since the major spots have been added, and SSA would reap heavy benefits as well. It’s not about “deserving” the spot. They will never be able to keep up if they never get the reps.

Make sure that Playstation controller support is 'Not Enabled'. In the recent update it changed to 'enabled in games w/o support' which adds a lot of input delay...

Example: on offence as 1st man it can be very beneficial to 50 the ball back to a teammate setting them up for a play and creating space or in other words ‘losing’ the 50 but in reality you are getting the advantage over the other team instead of giving them free possession (3/7)

TLDR: Import players will improve SSA faster than a Major spot ever will and SSA need to take the same approach as APAC to imports as they need the consistent high level practice which MENA and SAM get simply due to being able to play on the bigger servers which manageable ping.

For anyone that hasn’t got directional air roll, I would definitely recommend binding it. Had it for 2 weeks now after 7 years with only normally air roll and I’m already seeing improvement on shots, recoveries and mechanics in general. You are at a disadvantage without it 100%

Idk why people think the security isnt going to be strict, CRL Worlds was in Dallas 1 month ago and the security was very strict. Bag checks, metal detectors, you couldnt take drinks in to the venue etc. I would imagine it will be the same for Worlds...

Noly has hit form at the perfect time, the only thing I wonder is when they play vitality or kc will the defence hold up the same. I don’t think G2 gave them enough to worry about mechs wise and were kind of playing boomer ball for a lot of the series. Will be interesting tho

Would agree with you if they weren’t signed cuz then it’s no one’s business how much they play, but the reality is that players on six figures not playing the game enough is bad for the esport and faze fans especially have the most reason to be annoyed about it imo

The problem imo is that 2 pros could be equally good overall but one could be better at solo plays and one could be better at positioning as 3rd / defending etc so they both have different strengths… this is why teams develop different styles to each other

individual talent won't do anything if players can't play proper 3v3, eu has been on a downfall ever since covid, everyone's focus has been mechanics and 2v2, marc was doing so much in rotation and speed that you can't just expect any individually skilled player to do better

I still don't understand why MENA doesn't have two spots for the Major, I honestly think @FalconsEsport have already proven that this region should not be underestimated. I'm thinking of @RuleOneGG who are not going to the Major because they finished second in the standings.

It's time to retire.
I have been fortunate to be a part of @RLEsports since before RLCS Season 1 and quickly it became the centre of my life. I have been a coach, a caster, a competitor, a content creator but most of all, a part of the community.
Thank you for all the support and memories and I wish everyone still involved the best of luck going forward 🧡

What's next?
In the last 6 months, I have realised this esports life wasn't for me anymore. 2 weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to find myself a stable job that is suited perfectly for me. Last week was my first full week of a 9-5 job and it felt amazing. I feel safe, like I have purpose and can support my future ambitions for a house, family and regularity.
I will be TCG Product manager for a huge online retailer called @ZatuGames and will be able to work on something I love massively, in-person at an office with a great team of people. They are allowing and encouraging me to continue broadcast talent work alongside my job, so will continue to be a @PokemonTCG commentator and can return to being broadcast talent in Rocket League, should any positions work out!
I have worked from home in an unstable industry most of my adult life and it's drained me, which certainly effected my ability to coach well, especially with @TopCougarsRL. It's time to begin something where I can think 6 months, 1 year, 5 years into the future and have my evenings and weekends back!
Thank you to @RelatingWave, @RLAccro and @ToxiicRL for being amazing players, and most recently @SimasRL_, who I wish I could have helped more. You all deserve every success and are capable of amazing things in Rocket League. It's a tough space right now, but you all deserved more this season and a chance to be signed (glad @TeamEndpoint could sign Toxiic!) I will forever be fans of you guys and thank you for giving me the chance to help you.
Thank you to all the teams I have worked on previously and a special thanks to @TeamVitality for the start and making of my career and supporting me in my early growth as a manager/coach.
Thank you @guildesports for the opportunity to develop my business strategy and performance strategies and take the management and coaching to another level.
Thanks to all the teams and players, of which there are too many to name, I have worked with over the years. I become a lifelong fan of all of you and it's great seeing so many of you still succeeding as competitors or as coaches.
I started coaching in RL before it was even considered a legitimate role. Knowing how important a coach is now to so many teams brings me great joy. Keep doing amazing, innovative things and all the coaches in the space will be rewarded. I have huge respect for all the coaches working from home with unsigned teams as it's so much more challenging than what our boot camping super teams are doing. Work harder than you've ever worked before and you'll break that threshold and get the org life you require to excel.
Thank you to @Cory_irl and all the RLCS broadcast team for getting me on for the 21-22 season as a desk analyst. It was one of the hardest things to lose in my life, but that just speaks to how incredible the opportunity to cast RLCS was and is. That was my most successful year in the industry and I wish it could have gone on longer.
What's next for me in Rocket League?
I don't think you'll ever see me coaching or managing again, not for a while anyway. I am interested in commentary, team streams or desk analyst roles and My agent will be actively looking for any opportunities. Like I said before, my work supports it, so would love to get back involved 😊
I will be at the London Major and will be enjoying it as fan and member of the community, so see you there😄
