Been always against going public because It's horrible for both parties' reputation, such an unprofessional thing to do but when you're left with no other choice, I am with my dearest apologies have to.
I'm one of the people that took a bigger hit from having to work for an entire year for the VCL MENA 2024 absolutely for free, this because I did not even receive the split 1 money, so I technically worked an entire year for free, and that includes LAN Finals which we traveled for.
I gave up everything i ever had for my Full-Time Casting career, stuff like this happens and then it feels absolutely demolishing.
Over my entire career I've only been luckily scammed twice, one with the famous EMG incident that no one ever got paid a penny for and a full year of working on VCL MENA, so this type stuff happening in an official was never really expected.
Now, all of this happens and all you get is "We're working on this soon, we're gonna pay you soon, we have issues with transfers" etc etc, until Calyx lost the project and I have 0 hope of getting my hard earned money back anytime soon if ever.
This has not been the first time I decide to go public about both incidents and up until now, there has been no news or updates for months whether I'm getting paid or not.
Again, kind of upsetting because I've been working with and for riot since 2019 on various projects starting Nexus arabia 2019, being VCT Istanbul 2022 MENA Ambassador and been one of the casting crew for almost every single official League / Valorant event during the years, never had I ever had any issues with payments and Riot defo played a major role in my debut which am thankful for.
Question remains, will I ever get my money or did I do charity work for an official RIOT event :) ?
