What is lacking is actually people working on core NFT/token technology. All these use cases sound great, but who is working on the fundamental tech? Where are NFTs beyond 721 (and a few 1155's?) Where are dynamic NFTs? or NFTs with attached Oracles? or NFTs with on-chain fees?

Crypto scam coins are crazy! Someone just shilled me a coin: - 27 trillion in circulation - unlimited supply cap - only 1 node - 25% of supply in circulation was just printed in the last 6 months - 1% of its holders own 30% of its supply. Like, wtf is this? Its the US DOLLAR!

Wild idea. You could theoretically build a PoS chain using NFTs (if NFTs had something similar to smart contract capabilities). Imagine #BAYC having their own native chain where holders can/must become nodes. There is a disconnect between NFT holders and Apecoin holders.

For example. An app store or Zapier like service where you use modules to "construct" a NFT with certain properties. Everyone talks about use cases , but hardly ANYONE talks about building the tech needed.

What we are doing is providing a service layer to bring physical assets onchain. You send us your art, we authenticate, insure and store art in our vaults, then issue you the NFT. Then you can sell, interact with defi etc. To redeem, send us the NFT, we burn then ship the art!

For any watch - pro photos, authentication, QC , and minting on ETH. Around $60-70. Vaulting and insurance based on value that user chooses. For a 10k watch it is approx $100 per year so $8.3 a month

This #crypto bull market reminds of the run and pattern in 2013-2014 and not like 2017. 13-14 was a combination of a few smaller catalysts. While 2017 was one massive catalyst that got blown out into an all out craze. #bitcoinprice

I used to have about ~20k twitter bots and could trend as hashtag in 2013-15. Twitter is by far the easiest platform to bot and knowingly allow it to happen. They don't filter or ban datacenter IPs, or even check Javascirpt headers. FB on the other hand is crazy hard to bot.

Reminds me of: activism.net/cypherpunk/cryp… The core I think is that we need secured, private compute - think of a locked down version of Hashicorp Vault and deployed on any AWS/GCP instance. But there is no push towards this in Web2. Save us ZKP!

Thats exactly it! And even if they want to redeem it, its a huge pain the ass for the company to store + ship the items. Hence why @4KProtocol makes it so easy for NFT communities to launch tokenized merch. Let us handle the vaulting and logistics.

The issue is the misalignment of the financial incentives as the fat tail distribution of returns in startups is concentrated in a small group. Ex. I am Palantir's first customer and have paid them $5m for services, and when they IPO, I have no upside.

Arcade holds NFT in protocol during loan. Lender would take NFt if defaulted. Borrrower needs to trust protocol which can generally be verified by looking at the smart contract. It’s all programmed in.

Hi, We have an actual lab and its modeled after the top lab in the world. We only take recent years, most popular brands, excellent/very good condition only and full boxes & papers. Additionally, we have the best fakes in the world as training sets. Honestly, I could train you to authenticate watches in about 10 minutes. Fakes are only meant to fool the naked eye but once you apply scientific precision tooling, there is extremely small chance. Little more info: docs.4k.com/the-4k-alpha-vau…

Yes it is but in the standard model I assume? Pay USDC to wallet (or contract?) controlled by you guys. Then user gets NFT and able to access? The future model and one I mention: User get/mints NFT, NFT has a "subscription fee." User must keep fee topped off to enter course.

In the last cycle, I recall there was an incident where an internal employee stole the email list and used it as phishing/scam. And recently the Trezor thing. I recall unencrypted databases, almost any employee can access and generally super lax security. Not surprised.

4K's NFTs will have on-chain subscription fees (to pay for IRL Storage + Insurance). Built with composibility in mind, the fees can also be tracked and charged across EVM chains. This is possibly the first iteration of on-chain subscription fees for NFTs?

Yes! Whats most needed is people to work on the core NFT technology and architecture. NFTs in its current state is like Bitcoin. Nice but can't do "that" much. An example here:
1) 🚨Problem: On-chain #royalties are a huge innovation for the crypto space, but they’re not enforceable due to wrapping and #p2p trades. Tl;dr – Fees must be enforced at the NFT contract level, not the marketplace level. Potential solutions👇 🧵 from 4K CEO @Megatron
3
The person redeeming for the physical asset is responsible for shipping/import tax and shipping insurance. Though we make it super easy through our redemption portal.

The only potential solution would be a "rental" or method to "charge/top-off" the NFT. (building this at @4KProtocol ). Can also add in a base gas cost (which goes to collection owner) which can help. All other methods have attack vectors like what @chibiapegang mentioned.
2
NFTs is the first "digital vehicle of ownership," currently its ultra simple and basic - attributes and picture. Imagine Lego like building blocks for NFTs like smart contracts attached to the NFT itself. Subscription/Royalty/Rental, Privileges, Logic, etc.

We actually do solve that problem via staking and insurance 1. Guardians (physical storage) stake tokens. Ex. $10m worth 2. User submits Rolex + requests $25k insurance. Guardian approves 3. If anything happens to asset Guardian is slashed for $25k and funds sent to NFT owner.
