Games are simulations. Eternum is a simple game, but does it simulate our world a little more closely than a traditional game with far deeper gameplay? I believe it does. The physics in Eternum cannot be bent by anyone. There is no admin with godlike power. No cheat code. Everything moves at donkey speed inside the world. Every action takes place in a real economy. There is a real financial consequence factored into every click. An infinitesimally tiny amount of Lords for a resource purchase, or a mega stack of $Lords returned to the winner of the game. Compliance of all parties to physics + an open economy. These starting conditions sound familiar right? They sound like real life. You cannot say the same about GTA, BG3 or Rust. Games are normally closed markets with admins and cheaters outside of physics. There are probably other arguments that could be made on these lines, and plenty of counter arguments too, I'm sure. Regardless, the gameplay experience and player behaviour we will witness in Eternum will be novel, unpredictable, strategic, hard-edged, competitive - like nothing else. Before I pass the blunt, let me finish with something else uniquely Eternum. In my opinion, it’s the first game that is ***truly*** built for the community of people who are both native gamers and crypto natives. It really is a game, and it really is onchain.
