Honestly, retail is not coming back to Bitcoin in size. Many are not gonna make it. The only way to get more normies into Bitcoin at this point is by putting more Bitcoin into different products. That's why preferred stocks and BTC backed bonds and other instruments are interesting.
Nothing beats Bitcoin and Cold storage but most people are never going to understand that and their only exposure to any investing is going to be their 401k because they're just not very bright and not very curious.
Having Bitcoin available in all sorts of financial products and having Bitcoin companies take over the S&P 500 and the QQQ is going to be the only way that most people ever have any exposure to bitcoin at all. By having Bitcoin infiltrate every single section of the financial system, we're able to indirectly involve more people into the Bitcoin Network.
I would love if retail would go crazy with Cold storage frenzy, but it's really just not going to happen unless coinbase loses all the coins all at once and freezes everyone's account. Even then, they will probably just see that as a reason to never buy or hold Bitcoin ever again, even though it's a coinbase failure and not a Bitcoin failure.
At the end of the day I can only control what I can do and I will always have a huge amount of Bitcoin and Cold storage and in multi-sig + secured vaults. Most people will be lucky to own a few shares of MSTR in the future.
The CME gap must be closed because Wall Street and institutions primarily buy Bitcoin, not retail investors. When retail investors arrive, CME gaps won't need closing.
