"Citizens of Israel, my brothers and sisters, this is an emotional evening, an evening of tears, an evening of joy.
Because tomorrow, children will return to their border.
This is a historic event that blends sorrow over the release of murderers – and joy over the return of hostages.
This is a historic event that some did not believe would happen. But our fighters believed. Many among the people believed. And I believed.
I know there are many disagreements among us. But on this day, and I hope also in the period ahead, we have every reason to put them aside.
Because through joint efforts we achieved enormous victories. Victories that astonished the entire world. And I want to say: Everywhere we fought – we won.
But in the same breath, I must tell you: The campaign is not over. There are still very great security challenges ahead of us.
Some of our enemies are trying to rebuild themselves to attack us again. And as we say – 'We're on it.'
There are also great opportunities that we have never known before – precisely because of the victories we brought.
I am convinced that through joint efforts we will overcome the challenges and realize the opportunities.
During the war, my wife and I met many times with the families of the abductees.
We saw their pain, their yearning, their tears.
These meetings were with me in every decision I made during the war.
We embraced the families, and I promised them: 'I will not rest until I bring your loved ones back.'
I wish to thank the IDF soldiers and commanders, the security forces, the bereaved families who lost what is most dear to them, our heroic wounded who carry their pain in body and soul, and I wish to thank you, citizens of Israel. You who stood strong, day after day, with love for our country and faith in the justice of our path.
Tomorrow is the beginning of a new path. A path of building, a path of healing, and I hope – a path of uniting hearts.

Israel has, through the Red Cross, received the coffins of four deceased hostages.
The coffins were, with Egyptian mediation, handed over to an IDF force at the Kerem Shalom Crossing. The initial identification process on Israeli territory has begun.

Israel has received, via the Red Cross, the coffin of a deceased hostage, which was handed over to an IDF and ISA force inside the Gaza Strip.
From there, the coffin will be transferred to Israel, where it will be received in a military ceremony led by an IDF rabbi.
It will then be transferred to the Health Ministry National Center of Forensic Medicine. Upon completion of the identification process, a formal notification will be delivered to the family.
All of the hostages' families have been updated accordingly, and our hearts are with them in this difficult hour. The effort to return our hostages is ongoing and will not cease until the last hostage is returned.
The public is requested to respect the families' privacy and to refrain from spreading rumors and unofficial and unverified information.
We will continue to provide updates with reliable information as necessary.

In late July, anti-Israeli media around the world "discovered" a person named Anthony Aguilar, so-called "whistleblower" formerly employed by UG Solutions at aid distribution sites in Gaza. Aguilar was celebrated as a modern-day hero on social media, and yet, many news organizations that are highly critical of Israel still felt compelled to keep a safe distance from Aguilar and some of his more outrageous claims.
Not the Turkish state broadcaster @trtworld, who opted for a full buy-in instead. Across different platforms, the claims and exploits of Anthony Aguilar were regularly aired and documented, most prominently his story of a young Gazan boy named "Amir", allegedly executed in cold blood by Israeli soldiers at one of the aid distribution centers.
All that favorable coverage came to a sudden halt a few days ago — when the news arrived, via @realDailyWire's @KassyAkiva, that the boy, whose real name is Abdul Rahim Muhammad Hamden, is in fact alive and well, and Aguilar's harrowing tale was a complete fabrication. In a matter of hours, @trtworld pivoted from celebrating Aguilar's disruption of a Senate hearing — to no longer remembering his name.
The question remains: will @trtworld's audience ever get the great news about "Amir" being alive and safe?

The body of 33-year-old former hostage Shiri Bibas has finally been returned to Israel.
After violating the deal by NOT returning Shiri’s body yesterday, along with those of her sons, the terrorist organization Hamas returned it over night. The body was identified and officially recognized as that of Shiri. She was murdered in captivity by Hamas terrorists.
Our hearts are broken for Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir. We hoped for a different end.
