In 2004, I was with Hulk at Mardis Gras. Hulk was the celebrity grand marshal for the Krewe of Bacchus. At the height of the celebration following the parade, we had a private suite overlooking the spectacle of the post parade insanity below as we watched the crazy from the balcony. Fully catered and stocked. Security came to me and said there was someone at the door who was determined to say hello to Hulk. It was @JohnCena. He came to pay respect and say hello. Not to share the attention, enjoy the perks. Just pay respect. That’s when I became a John Cena fan.

I've seen responses here that I should have anticipated. “Thanks for the house” is a phrase, used to show gratitude and respect from those that are a part of a pro wrestling event, to the “headliner” on the card. Particularly in the early WWF era, every wrestler on the card for any show that Hulk was headlining, knew their payout at the end of the night was going to be significantly higher just because Hulk was the headliner. Everyone on the card made more money just because they were on the same card as Hulk. While many people should thank Hulk for the “house” they live in, the house in my post was a nod to band of amazing traveling people who helped contribute to this pop culture and entertainment phenomenon called “prowrestling”. And yes, thanks for the house I live in too.
