Make
@Gorgepappa Great Again
This week, Gorgepappa faced a devastating blow: all his wallets were drained, and his entire Base chain portfolio was wiped out.
For those willing to support, here’s his wallet:
• ENS: Gorgepappa.base.eth
• Address: 0x05fC21B8E3522691b45453adb12559bcB6fa8Ba4
Generous individuals in private groups have already offered to help him recover by donating coins. However, true to his nature, he hasn’t asked for anything and likely never will. But as a fellow holder of
and other Base chain assets, I can’t help but fear what losing someone like Gorgepappa would mean for the ecosystem.
Why Support Gorgepappa?
If you’ve been following Base chain, you’ll know that people like him are essential. His dedication, work ethic, and selflessness have built a foundation for countless projects and inspired others in the community. Base chain needs people like him.
Yes, it was his own mistake that led to this loss. He took his precautions, but I guess you could argue that the security could have been better. But it would be a tragedy to see someone with his conviction and contributions miss out on the Base chain season he has tirelessly championed.
I know Gorgepappa personally. For the past 7–8 months, he has poured his time, effort, and finances into crypto—especially Base chain—at great personal cost. He hasn’t spent a cent on himself and has neglected every aspect of his personal life to ensure his crypto projects succeed. Here is a couple of reasons on why I believe he deserves a second chance:
1. The First Project
Gorgepappa’s first Base chain project exemplifies his relentless dedication.
• Work ethic: He carried the project while the rest of the team faded away.
• Personal investment: He paid for all marketing expenses out of pocket.
• Community focus: He gave away a significant portion of his tokens to the community and remained active around the clock.
Ultimately, he ended up with 17% of the token supply, purchased at market price. When the project stalled, instead of selling, he let others exit first, watching his stack bleed to zero. Twice, he attempted to revive the project—not for his own benefit, but to give the community a chance to recover. This cost him deeply but earned him a lot of respect.
2. The EBWS Initiative
Next, he founded EBWS (Elite Bag Working Squad) to unite hardworking individuals and revive struggling projects with potential.
• Mission: Buy into struggling projects, provide support, and leave them stronger than before.
• Challenge: It was impossible to find others as dedicated as him. Despite pulling in IRL friends, most of us couldn’t match his time or energy, as we have families and other obligations.
Over time, EBWS evolved into a diverse team of 60 members. And he truly took care of his team.
• Leadership: He ensured team members were paid—even when projects rugged—and found jobs for them where he could.
• Selflessness: He didn’t take a dime for himself, often covering losses out of his own pocket.
3. The CTO Movement
While working on an EBWS project, the CTO movement began, and he quickly stepped up as a leader, inviting EBWS members and Base chain communities to join.
Though he was one of CTO’s founding members, a wallet bug prevented him from participating in the launch on Apestore. Missing out on a 1600x overnight gain was devastating, and he even considered quitting crypto.
Yet just hours later, he returned, working as a raid leader and moderator—not for profit, but to contribute to the movement and support Base chain.
4. The CTO Grind
Despite initial hesitation, the community convinced him to lead $CTO—a nearly impossible task. He took it on anyway, knowing it would demand immense time, money, and energy. Since then, he has fully dedicated his life to it:
• Out-of-pocket expenses: He has covered every cost himself, without marketing funds or a proper team.
• Massive personal investment: He bought tokens at a high average cost and lost 50M in the hack, reducing his personal holdings from 7.7% to 2.7%.
• Relentless effort: He has worked tirelessly—hosting over 100 Spaces, raiding, managing the team, supporting partner projects, holding business meetings, and creating contests and events.
Despite the endless challenges, bad actors, and lack of resources, he refused to let the project fail. His commitment has kept
$CTO alive when most would have walked away. Without his efforts every
$CTO token would have been worth 0 dollars, and the project would have died in August. But the fact that he kept going has given a shit-ton of people the opportunity to recoup their losses. And the only thank you so far has been fullclip jeeting and FUD.
5. Unwavering Commitment to Base chain
For months, Gorgepappa has worked 15–16 hours a day for Basechain, often neglecting other opportunities. He could have sold and moved on countless times, but he remained steadfast. His reason? He refuses to let bad actors and “jeets” win. And he had firm belief in Basechain and its potential.
He had invested in almost every Basechain meme project there is. And kept supporting them through BaseCTO. Also actively shilling the projects and supporting them behind the scenes. And now that whole portfolio is wiped out.
He believes success in crypto can come without exploiting others, a rare feature in this space, and he’s dedicated himself to proving it.
6. Additional Reasons
• Burning $30K in tokens: When a random dev of a Basechain project gave up in the summer. He handed gorgepappa $30K worth of tokens, he burned the entire supply rather than sell it, as he couldn’t commit to the project.
•
$Chosen: A KOL brought him
$Chosen as a joke. But he ended up with throwing in $12– 15K to stabilize the chart for his friends, despite already holding 3% from Apestore. He also vowed never to take profits and promised to burn his supply if the project succeeded. Just because he wanted to fck over the jeets and get a win for all the people loyal to him. (The hack sadly obliterated the
$Chosen chart that he put a lot of money into protecting)
• Unrealized gains: Despite being up 30–50x on multiple projects, he never sold in a way that would harm the charts—something most of us would do without hesitation.
Bottom Line
People like Gorgepappa are extremely rare in this space. This man has the work output of 10 chads. Let's show the man who has always been there for us some support, getting him back on his feet, and I'm sure this will be a valuable investment for everybody.
Let's make him great again.
