T1 Faker 🇰🇷: "Getting older makes me think more about health, posture and physical care matter when you sit in one position."
"In-game, age itself doesn't affect me. In any sport, the key is sustaining passion and the will to keep improving."
Via #Worlds2025 Press Conference
During breakdown of mid-game situation between KT and T1 and discussing the decision-making involved behind taking baron:
Caster Jun: "Regarding this, in next year's LCK season, the coach will be able to help with that a little bit. A change which you can look forward to."
Mistake happens in game
Your options are
1) flame your teammate because they totally didn’t know they messed up and will surely respond well to the criticism.
2) Say nothing. Your teammate will definitely enjoy the silence to reexamine his/her mistake and feel supported to rebound in a positive way.
3) *deep sigh* and/or mumbling - excellent usage of your diaphragmatic breathing exercises to lower your heart rate to remind your teammate to take a deep breath.
4) reassure your teammate that it’s ok, take a moment to acknowledge the new game state and we can move on to the next play.
omg everyone was reassuring doran when he got caught at kt's base 🥹
🐻 it's ok as long as i find an ult angle here, it's winnable
🐈⬛️ take a calm, deep breath. there's no need to be sorry, just take a deep breath.
🐯 it's ok
🐻 we're still far ahead
🐶 just play comfortably
Too toxic. Solo was a shining point on an otherwise bleak EF team. Benched before the team was sold, dropped from his contract, Bootcamped in EU alone during the off season, failed to find a team, picked up as a positional coach and now starter in LCS finals. Too toxic though.
It doesn’t take discipline to queue up for that one more game at 3am so you can tell people you are grinding.
It takes discipline to go to bed at a reasonable time so you can say ‘I am putting tomorrow’s productivity and performance ahead of early morning instant gratification’.
Previously hadn’t posted it before but I wrote about my experiences during that month recently and was reminded of what an amazing time it was. Never forget it.
My contract with MSF ends end of November. They have given me the opportunity to explore options for next year.
5 years LCS/LEC (IMT, FLY, MSF). 3 splits as head coach and 7 as performance coach/sports psyc.
8 years traditional sports experience.

Super excited to be working with @MisfitsGG for this coming year. Had a good feeling after speaking to Ben, Hussain, Joe and Jesse in the offseason. I pretty much decided then and there that I wanted to move and this was before I knew about the completed roster 🐰
You shouldn't look at exercise as increased risk of being tired, risk of injury or a waste of time.
It gives you MORE energy, it DECREASES your risk of injury and it makes you a much MORE productive person throughout your day.
Prioritize your time. Invest in yourself.
As a coach your job isn’t to shield your players from discomfort, failure or the truth (even if it hurts). It’s to help them get through, cope, deal with, survive, understand and eventually thrive when these things inevitably happen.
One of these is not like the others.
Your job as a coach is to protect the players from outside pressure and narratives. The culture where people point the finger publicly immediately after a season ending loss is no culture worth keeping.
Coaching is and has always been bottlenecked not by game knowledge (X’s and O’s) but rather by your understanding of the people you are coaching.
The players strengths are specific while the coach has to be a well rounded chameleon.
Let players play and coaches coach

Even through the teams struggles Fabian was THE hardest working player in Misfits all year. Put in so much effort to improve himself in and out of the game. I loved working with him as a player and getting to know him as a friend. DM me if you have any questions about him.
Misfits has allowed me to explore my options for the upcoming 2020 season. I'm thankful for the lessons that I have learned this year and have never been more driven and excited to prove the world that I am still one of the best players in the world
Appreciate the RT's 😍

I hope this split helps shake off stupid labels from years ago. NA struggles to change opinions on players and that can work for certain players and in Colin’s case, work against him.
I am a free agent for 2018. It was valueable experience on imt and i appreciat it so much. Now im excited to work hard again next year. Email: koalphak@nate.com Rts appreciated.
Athletes and coaches in traditional sports give far more positive feedback to each other compared to esports and it’s not even close. It’s pretty much opposite.
Positive feedback makes people more likely to seek out future feedback, more likely to repeat the behavior/action 🧵
The majority of players don’t age out because of declining ‘mechanics’ due to reaction times being slower. They age out because it’s hard to grind the game to keep up and motivation can drop. They spend less time than when they were younger. They don’t adapt. They don’t enjoy it.
"At Immortals, we’ve built a really good culture here where its not just focus is on the play performance and competition that we’re actually taking into account the humanistic side.”
We're proud to introduce @CoachYip as the Head of Performance at Immortals.
Happy to be back for 2020 with a new exciting group of players/staff. We will be working hard to prove that we can go head to head with any team. #MSFWIN
We're happy to announce @CoachYip is back for 2020!
All our bases are covered with @Amazingx, @jandrofvp and Robert increasing LEC player performance on and off the Rift.
Most people will talk about the direct abuse. It’s important to realise that there is a HUGE amount of research that highlights the intense negative effects of witnessing abuse. What is more sad is that they had no one to turn to and felt like this was normal and to be endured

As a coach you don’t want players to blindly follow because ‘authority figure’. You want them to buy into your values, your personality, your energy. They are buying into YOU. The changes that grow from this are the fruits borne from nurturing the relationship daily.
Since TSM I don’t think you were on a team that had default expectations that were universally binary, only winning matters. Even with that I’ve never met a player that gives so much of himself and sacrifices everything not to winning but to the pursuit of winning...the journey

I didn't know much about him when I was with the OWL team last year. He was sitting on the bench because of meta. Hard spamming widow aim games to keep sharp, not knowing when he would play again. Eventually he played and he commanded the room, his presence and leadership shone.
To write a good story, you need time, patience, and strength. This is a story of a man that never stopped putting in the work, and a story about a man that never, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 gave up.
This is the Story of Sayaplayer.

Airport waiting thoughts:
In a results based industry, trust is the most important commodity. Unfortunately we all can’t be the best. If we can’t be the best then be honest. Honest in your efforts and with your words.
When you know you are going to be playing in an online official you should be setting up the PC’s user accounts so that you are only able to access certain websites (lolpros, gamesoflegends, op.gg etc).
It’s less to decrease the risk of cheating but rather the human nature to get distracted by social media etc. Remove the distraction = increase the focus.
On an aside, teams can also practice discipline during pauses during the season so that players get used to the process of silence.
[OFFICIAL] Top laner Summit 🇰🇷 has been suspended from competing in LTA North Promotion Tournament
He has been caught watching a League of Legends game during a mid-series pause in the match between Estral and DSG 🇺🇸
PSA: coaches and players
Off season is the best time to reinvest in your own personal development. It’s understandable that without being in competition it can be difficult to find purpose.
Here are some advantages to grinding now
- lowered stress helps with learning and retention 🧘♂️
- playoffs/finals aplenty so you can focus on vod analysis 📖
- you have a lot more time to reach out and talk with other players/coaches and gain new perspectives 🗣️
- great time to analyse your own games/vods/habits/mindset 🤔
- strengthen your body and mind (injury free doesn’t mean healthy and fit) 💪
- deeply analyse your previous year and understand your set goals, how you worked towards them (did you react or respond to your environment), what were your conclusions? ⭐️
- improvement now means less time spent having to play catch up when it matters later on 📅
Really happy for 2-0 first week. Guys work really hard and create such a positive and unique work environment. Also great to see @lolGorillA and @HajinsunTV on the broadcast. Next time you try some English in interview! #MSFWIN
For some, success is money, fame, career, accolades or status.
For others it’s education, family, security or appearance.
For many it’s a job, a roof over their head and food.
For a few it’s just getting out of bed.
No matter your station in life, you deserve success.
For those of you watching that large influx of new people into the gym for New Years just remember that everyone starts somewhere and the first and hardest step is just to turn up.
If they aren’t doing something dangerous then mind your own business.
