A thank note for @Buck from a Brewers fan, 6.5 years late. But listening to the first couple Brewers games this year has me really missing Bob Uecker. And then I recalled this ultra cool/classy move from Joe Buck during the 2018 NLCS vs Dodgers. Buck just left the booth for a bit and let Uecker call part of the inning on national TV. Not sure if it was planned by them or not. But, I was living in California at the time and was instantaneously transported back to my WI youth. It meant a lot to me at that time and still does. So, thanks Joe.

These are so great. They loved each other. Played cards together on every charter. It comes through. Whitey was a genius. And gave the Cards direction and a plan after the mess of the ‘70s. He also didn’t need a spread sheet to tell him if someone was a good ballplayer. If a team brought his style of baseball back now, defenses wouldn’t know what to do. Sad that he’s gone. His mark on the game will last a long time.
