None of the places depicted would be eligible for sale under our bill. The legislation specifically exempts National Parks, National Monuments, Wilderness Areas, National Recreation Areas, and eleven other categories of federally protected land from sales to build much-needed housing for American families.

Provide us a map of the land you’re trying to sell. It’s pretty simple. If you’re selling 3 million acres of OUR land, we deserve to know what’s being sold. Is there a reason you’re not being transparent with the American people?
The Senate bill does not authorize the sale of national parks, monuments, or wilderness. It identifies unused, garden-variety federal parcels for potential disposal—nothing more. Don’t fall for Tracy @StoneManning’s disinformation campaign. @RepHageman sets the record straight 👇🏻 cowboystatedaily.com/2025/06…

America (in its entirety) has told you they don’t want this. Your Republican colleagues have told you they don’t want this. The Senate parliamentarian has told you this fails to comply with Congressional rules. Why are you continuing to do it?
Housing prices are crushing families and keeping young Americans from living where they grew up. We need to change that. Thanks to YOU—the AMERICAN PEOPLE—here’s what I plan to do: 1. REMOVE ALL Forest Service land. We are NOT selling off our forests. 2. SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE the amount of BLM land in the bill. Only land WITHIN 5 MILES of population centers is eligible. 3. Establish FREEDOM ZONES to ensure these lands benefit AMERICAN FAMILIES. 4. PROTECT our farmers, ranchers, and recreational users. They come first. Yes, the Byrd Rule limits what can go in the reconciliation bill, but I’m doing everything I can to support President Trump and move this forward. Stay tuned. We’re just getting started.

With the recent dialogue about Candace Owens, I thought I’d share this story. A couple of years ago, I wrote an op-ed for a national publication that Candace also contributed to. In the op-ed, I respectfully critiqued her denial of climate change after she was challenged on Joe Rogan’s show about it. (To be clear, the op-ed was not solely about her, she was just *mentioned* as an example of where conservatives have gone wrong on the topic.) About an hour later, she contacted the outlet and threatened to never write for them again if they didn’t take down the op-ed. Of course, they ended up taking it down because they didn’t want to lose her. But they remarked at how ironic it was that the so-called “pro-free speech, free-thinking” spokesperson couldn’t refrain from threatening a media outlet for merely being critiqued in an op-ed. I don’t know all of the intricacies of the Daily Wire situation, but Candace Owens has always been a fraud. She doesn’t care about the conservative movement or this country. She only cares about herself, and always has.
