To our county government employees and first responders – many of whom are hard at work right now in cold temperatures responding to our first significant snow event of the season – I want to thank you for the work you do every day on behalf of our county. I am committed to working with you to move our county forward. We have a big job ahead of us, working together over the next two years, to make sure we balance our budget, protect our Triple A bond rating, improve public safety in every community, and continue to invest in our public school facilities and recreation and parks.
ALT At the same time, we must continue to grow our economy, create jobs, address the county’s housing shortage, and make government services more streamlined and efficient. I have a strong record working across party and jurisdictional lines building partnerships and consensus on tough issues, and I look forward to putting that experience to good use as county executive to benefit Baltimore County and our region. I was invited to throw the first pitch out for the @Orioles vs. Rays game last night. The feeling of walking on to the field of the stadium that forever changed baseball is indescribable. Incredibly grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. #BaltimoreOrioles

Governor Hogan and I don’t always agree, but we do agree on this: With COVID-19 cases climbing, Congress must provide states, local jurisdictions, and communities with additional stimulus to support struggling families and businesses in Baltimore County and across the country.
With the election behind us, much-needed additional stimulus relief is more urgent and achievable than ever. Today I wrote to Maryland’s congressional delegation urging them to prioritize a new stimulus relief bill in the lame duck session.
